Westernisation of India

In india I noticed that just about everywhere there are burger kings, mcdonalds, pizza huts, starbucks ect

What I noticed was in these outlets they had high volume music playing This music was the usual baqwaas we hear in the uk.

Hip hop and gora type music. The songs were incredibly inappropriate. With filthy lyrics and swear words. It was uncomfortable being in these outlets in a family environment eating here.

Why dont they play indian classical music? Anyway, as it is India. Yet they insist in promoting their filthy music culture whenever they can and bringing it over to India.

Should we boycott these restaurants. On a side note I flew with Emirates an arab plane company. No doubt my money will go on funding the taliban. Should we boycott Arab or muslim brands?

I never usually fligh with arabic or muslim brands.

Don't most restaurants (other than hip bars) play Muzak (background music)?

Anyway, if you're skeptical about mainstream chain restaurants, you're right. Load yourself up on bad grease, high carbs, and stale ingredients, etc, from McDonalds, etc., and spend half your weekly salary on a coffee from Starbucks.

Absolutely. The Gulf countries (whose airlines a lot of our people use to get into India) funded ISIS in Syria to fight moderate "Muslim" Bashar Assad.

Oh, and another thing: The meat available in India (in restaurants) is almost always Halal, unless you find a Jhatka butcher, which is unlikely. So don't eat meat. (Would actually avoid restaurants that serve meat, period.)

Are you dyslexic?

Pardon me for not writing in the queens english. For your information, No I am not. At the same time I dont have hours of time to type up a post to make sure that people like you can understand it and that it wins a literary award.

Also many of my posts are typed up on a small keypad mobile phone. So its natural that I press the wrong key due to to having big hands and a small keypad occasionally + my posts are typed up pretty quick. I dont have bags of time to make sure its perfect. Many of the times I type as I would speak. So not to make it come across as a boring essay. I have a topic in mind and then type it ultra fast. In hindsight it would probably be best for me to take more time on my topics and posts to make them more clear and thorough. But as I said I have limited time so it does cause issues sometimes. But I hope everyone get the main part of what I am saying.

I wish I could dedicate more time on posts aswell as replying to other members messages alot more. But its difficult due to other commitments.

This is mentally exhausting. Thanks.

India, after having been invaded multiple times over in the past 1000 years, has lost their sense of identity. They view themselves as inferior, and I've seen the urbanites pander to English culture and view "pendu" culture as ironically being inferior, when that is their true culture. Most Indians are far more "western" in ideology than many of their western counterparts.

Did not know that all meat in India is halal. Seeing as it is a non muslim majority country.

Music generally is okay, be it english or indian. The main thing is that it should not contain profanities and offensive content.

I made a mistake by buying a emrates ticket. As muslims are not to be trusted. Theres actually a obsession in India with looking up to arabs. Ie how many go to dubai to splash their cash. When all that money is going in the hands of extremists. Indians are ones of the biggest consumer groups. We should all boycot islamic airlines and products. I will opt for Virgin or british next time.

I know many muslims who boycott western brands and opt for islamic ones its called money jihad.

Good.

My posts should require that your mind has been fully used. exploring depths you never thought possible. Consider your mind to be enlightened when you read them and have gained something very important. Cherish these words my son.

India and Punjab is developing wrong. You can't just skip from a poor "developing" country step to acting all westernized.

Honestly, people have no interest in anything aside from money.

Take for example the Kar Seva Babeh destroying our history, it isn't just a RSS conspiracy, its also people don't care and are too dumb to realize the affects of their actions.

Same dumb types were going to tear down the original brick Akal Takht stage after destroying the Sarkari Takht, but a retired SGPC secretary stopped them from destroying the original Takht built by Chevin Patshah.

From what I hear, Puratan Larivaar Saroops are being Agan Bhet for no reason. The list keeps going on and on.

This is our Ithaas, and the general populous does not care, because "Let's go to Kanneda, drink Daru, and drive cool cars!".

Punjab will be a Desert anyway in the next 50 years unless some MAJOR action is done to stop the stealing of water from Punjab.

Waheguru.... Rab Rakha.

    • Anyone linking the "kenyan" style turban to Ramgarhia caste is stupid lol. It came from the Jat-only Sikh Regiment in British India (folded, starched single dastar without a pinch). It's called "kenyan style" as Kenya is where it's most popular today and has a lot of Tarkhan living there but it's originally from Jatts in India. Dastar actually opposes caste as a concept anyway so it really doesn't matter.
    • you can use nrimb.com this matrimonial site is very helpful to find Sikhs and other matches for marriage in Canada.
    • Is there a need to insult someone's Dastar style? Feel some shame When you see a Sikh wearing a Dastar you should smile and think "that's my brother" ,not laugh at how he chose to tie his Pagh. Maharaj made a brotherhood in the Khalsa not a fashion contest.
    • Respectfully, this isn't a good idea bro. This is a Sikh forum so it's best not to be distracted with other topics. Most people who visit this site don't have accounts and have questions about Sikhi so we do seva here by educating the Jaante as well. Maybe create a subreddit on Reddit for "casual Sikhs" over there. It would be better as you could link that with r/sikh. And also there are like 4 people still on this site so you won't get much response. It's really inactive here most people use reddit now
    • Sikhs can sleep nanga-sirr if they choose to . Being from Punjab, almost every Sardaarji i know (amritdhari or not) sleeps/showers with their hair uncovered. I don't think Guru Sahib asked us to wear Dastar to sleep and I don't think it is in SRM. The idea of "keski being worn to sleep" is cos in Bollywood films (Bachna Ae Haseeno) Sikh characters usually tie a gol parna when sleeping since the actor's usually Hindu. So they gotta cover his head somehow or he'd have cut hair. Same reason Diljit wore a pagg to bed in the El Sueno vid. Only time they didn't do that was in Gadar with Sunny Deol which just looked odd tbh
