they have the advantage of so called "dharmic brotherhood" . I remember one taunting me "so does my family have 2 religions?" (in rebuttal to when i said sikhs are not hindus) . perhaps he had a mixed hindu-sikh family. For some reason , to this day, hindu and sikh communities tend to intermarry, and some people, sometimes whole families,  even live all their lives on the fuzzy borders of hinduism and sikhi ,
