does it really matter how it started ? we should be making sure we can deal with curfews , restrictions on daily life.

hanjee it does. because this gives clues in how to avoid the virus, or to help incoulate/vaccinate.

It's always good to go to the source and history of something to find something out.

i read in the news how they found the virus in a bats lungs

They will eat anything, they are far from the concept of jhatka. Cooking animals alive, and eating them raw, and even when alive!

No daya at all. It's even less hygienic than India over there.

we all don't live in China, buy live animals from marketplaces , eat like Chinese , indiscriminately (they even eat live fish dipped in boiling oil and having hot sauce poured over it) . It is a zoonotic disease that has crossed species the only way you can counter it is by shutting down superbug incubation spots (factory farms, live animal markets and animals living in close proximity to humans )
We already do all the things to avoid it as a daily course of events  , just need to stop supporting factory farming as it will be the source of the next big plague.

if sikh community could in uk could promote jhatka and shikaar instead of going to the shops, we could avoid so much of this.  Just last century pre-partition, Singhs in punjab did jhatka, even doing it behind doors in areas where muslims had banned it. It is so unfortunate that these baba cults and jathas have put us in the mentality to either be veggie or eat meat from anywhere, and also not to bother carry an shastar beside a kirpan, it's so sad to lose Khalsa rehit like this. As soon as a sikhs listen to katha such as Suraj Prakash, they will understand the maryada they have lost and need to bring back to Khalsa!

they are nasty vile people. iv seen a vid of them skinning a angora rabbit alive while it was screaming in pain! they lock it between their legs and start ripping its fur off with their hands    and the poor thing screams!   they are b@stards  people who do that.  the agony and torture that these animals are put though  is something that you cant ever forget after watching the videos

people  especially women should check the labels on their cardigans   if it has angora fur in it  then that animals was ripped apart and skinned alive to make that cardigan.

i often wonder if people who torture animals like this are questioned after they die?  i hope they are
