Sant Baba Thakur Singh je Khalsa

Recommended Posts

What i find suprising is the way people love to pick holes in what other people have to say! Bhaji wrote a brilliant post, and u find the little points from which you can raise another 'point'.

Rather than see the emotion behind the writings you find faults! Of course bahi sahib isnt comparing baba ji with guru gobind singh ji, but if u read his message with the same love as which it was written, you will see that the word father is probably used in the context as baba ji watched out for the panth the same as a father would, doing everything for the panth as a father would, giving up everything for the panth as a father would.

If any of you guys actually met baba ji, you would know that the quam and guru ji was more to baba ji then anything else they had.

Nobody is at all trying to compare guru ji with baba ji, thats ridiculous!

Being in baba ji's presence was very much like a blanket, you did feel protected and safe, and you did feel chardi kala because you knew that such a gurmukh was there doing ardaas for the panth, and how could guru ji turn down the request of his beloved?? The inspiration that singhs took off them was unreal!

Unless you met them you will never truely know, for those of you have no idea, put it this way, sitting with sants such as baba ji causes you to do so much more gurbani and simran than you would do normally. Personally everytime i had the chance to meet baba ji, 98% of the time i was there was spent reading, listening to gurbani. Baba ji only ever spoke when there was a need to, other than that they constantly had gurbani being read, 24 hours a day. Please try and understand this, when i say 24 hours a

day i mean exactly that, only if baba ji had something in particular to do did the bani being done out-loud stop. It wasnt a chore or a ritual, ask the sangat who have visited and done sadh sangat with these gurmukhs, they have followed guru ji's bachan of sitting in the compnay of saint and repeating the name of vaheguru!!

The singhs would say that someone like baba ji who has naam going anyway doesnt need us to read gurbani out loud, but its their way of getting us to read more gurbani and for the sangat to listen to more gurbani. What better parchar can a singh do than read the words of the guru?? It was all about gurbani gurbani gurbani!

And correct me if im wrong, does not bahi gurdas ji in his varran praise gursikhs or the time of guru ramdas ji and guru arjan dev ji? Seeing as these varran are the key to guru granth sahib ji, are they also wrong to praise the gurmukhs?

It seems ok to have numerous threads talking about different people and how bad they and their practices are, but if people start praising a true gursikh, its seen as disrespectful to guru ji!!

Nobody if being direspectful to guru ji, ask any of the singh what was the first thing they did when they heard about baba ji, most will tell you that they had ishnaan and went to go and see guru ji. Doing sangat of gurmukhs creates so much more respect for guru ji, how much other gurmukhs, from whichever background do you see who each and every time they see maharajh do parkarima where possible and then do choor sahib? Baba ji would not even sit on a sofa or a bed when keertan from harimandir sahib was on tv, they would sit on the floor, how many of the rest of us do that? When gurbani was read, there was never a chance that the reader was sitting lower than anybody else. The respect shown for gurbani and guru granth sahib ji of the utmost highest!! By seeing the satkar that gurmukhs have for maharajh inspires the rest of us also.

As has been repeated over and again, this thread wa

s intended as a respectful memory for baba ji, and instead we have people coming on to cause controversy. For the people it concerns, you know for a fact that a lot of the sangat is very upset and is missing that jyot so much, rather than provide sahara and pyaar, you stir things up, is this your way of creating unity between brothers??

It doesnt matter anyhow, even with his last act, baba ji has inspired the singhs to read even more gurbani than before, and that above all else is the most important thing.

During some katha at a house by gianni takhar singh ji, he was going through the jeevan of great gursikhs.

He started to speak of the taksal mukhi's. And spoke of their levels of avasta.

Cant rememebr the exact words used but i remember the pyaar with which he said;

sant gurbachan singh ji was on one such level,

sant kartar singh was on another level,

sant jarnail singh ji is on this level etc etc,

and he described the different levels of bhramgian and sojhi etc,

finally he got to baba takhar singh ji, with so much emotion gianni ji said that even though he could discuss and describe some of the bhagti of the other mahapursh's, there was no words he could think of to describe the pyaar and nimrata and just utter devotion that baba ji had for vaheguru which he had shown over his years and life of seva and bhagti.

I know i keep posting and i apologise for that, but just that the sangat needs to know just how much pyaar baba ji had for sangat.

Another quick example, i heard that sometimes at metha some of the singhs would wake up late, if baba ji was there he would ask them to wake up at proper amritvela to do their nitnem, if they never woke the next day, singh ji was telling me that baba ji would go into their rooms and start doing malish to their feet. And do hath jor ke benti asking the singhs to wake up and do their nitnem. He would literally stand there with folded hands, asking them what else could an 'old man' do to get you singhs to do your amritvela. pray.gif

Wow. I'm in awe of this man. Such humility and devotion.

I saw him once at kalgidhar darbar, but never heard him speak.

Hope I have the good fortune of meeting Sikhs like him.....but they are rare.

Another gem in the rosary of the panth.

    • The Mind is Jyot Saroop (Waheguru), but the mind is under the influence of five evils… Through Naam Simran( Rememberance), the mind will begin to detach from evil, and get back to its original form ( MANN TU JYOT SAROOP HEH)… Until the mind breaks free from the five evils, one will go through the cycle of paap and punn….which leads to Karma… Naam Simran destroys past karma, and prevents new karma coming into fruition… I did this, I did that… This non realisation of the Jyot Saroop gives rise to paap and Punn, which in turn gives birth to suffering and misery…
    • I agree we're not born with sin like the Christians think. Also I agree we have effects of karma. But Gurbani does state that the body contains both sin and charity (goodness): ਕਾਇਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਪਾਪੁ ਪੁੰਨੁ ਦੁਇ ਭਾਈ ॥ Within the body are the two brothers sin and virtue. p126 Actually, we do need to be saved. Gurbani calls this "udhaar" (uplift). Without Satguru, souls are liable to spiritual death: ਜਿਨਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨ ਭੇਟਿਓ ਸੇ ਭਾਗਹੀਣ ਵਸਿ ਕਾਲ ॥ p40 Those who have not met Satguru Purakh are unfortunate and liable to death. So, yeah, we do need to be saved, and Guru ji does the saving. The reason Satguru is the one to save is because God has given Satguru the "key" (kunji): ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਹਥਿ ਕੁੰਜੀ ਹੋਰਤੁ ਦਰੁ ਖੁਲੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥ In the True Guru's hand is the key. None else can open the door. By perfect good fortune the Guru is met. p124
    • That's unfortunate to hear. Could you give any more information? Who was this "baba"? He just disappeared with people's money? Obviously, you should donate your money to known institutions or poor people that you can verify the need of through friends and family in Punjab.
    • Sangat ji,  I know a family who went Sevewal to do seva sometimes end of 2019. They returned last year in great dismay and heart broken.  To repent for their mistakes they approached panj pyaare. The Panj gave them their punishment / order to how t make it up which, with Kirpa, they fulfilled.  They were listening to a fake Baba who, in the end, took all the "Donations " and fled sometime over a year ago. For nearly 4 years this family (who are great Gursikhs once u get to know them) wasted time and effort for this fake Baba. NOT ONLY this one fam. But many, many did worldwide and they took their fam to do seva, in village Sevewal, city Jaitho in Punjab. In the end many families lost money in thousands being behind this Baba. The family, on return, had to get in touch with all the participants and told them to stop.  I am stating this here to create awareness and we need to learn from whom we follow and believe. It's no easy but if we follow the 3 S (Sangat, Simran and Seva) we will be shown the light. As I am writing this the family in question have been doing the same since 2008 onwards and they fell for this Baba... it is unbelievable and shocking.  This am writing in a nutshell as am at work on my break so not lengthy but it deserves a great length.  Especially the family in question, who shed light on youngsters about Sikhi 20 plus years!!
