I'm going to suggest something now that I know will be controversial: but if options are being exhausted, you might want to look into Rick Simpson oil. It's a cannabis derived compound.

I know that it doesn't work for everyone, but it does seem to have worked for some people. So it's no miracle cure but an option in a tight situation.

OP, write them on a card and give to your father to keep in his pocket.  he can read it when daily when he is resting or worried.  

he should memorise them and accept them (those two Gurbani quotes) as the truth!
