Gita puts stamp on the cruel varna system!

Every civilisation has had a class/caste system. In Europe commoners were banned from wearing certain items of clothing that only the upper class could wear. Even just 50-60 years ago most sons followed the same profession as their fathers. The sad thing is that India is 50 to 100 years behind in thinking to the west in this regard today.

I think the difference is that in other cultures it was unwritten whereas in the Hindu culture it has been codified.

Brahmin varna system is evil.

It's not just about work.

Brahmin is worshipped and shudra is treated like animal.

The bible condones slavery but the westerners moved along with the times and made changes. In fact they refer to their hyper religious, following everything in the bible phase as The Dark Ages.

Has Sikhi removed the caste system? Not even close. Look at how many Gurdwaras are dedicated for separate castes. The sad thing is that casteist Gurdwaras are more prevalent in the west than in India.

According to some scholars,the below verse of gita is casteist as well as anti woman.

O son of Pritha, those who take shelter in Me, though they be of lower birth—women, vaishyas [merchants] and shudras [workers]—can attain the supreme destination

Gurbani does not promote caste. Punjabis do.

On the other hand, according to some scholars gita is casteist and promoter of violence.

My main point is we don't need gita parchar from our stages.

Gita has both good and false teachings. It's kachi Bani same as bible and Quran.

On one side we hv fake missionary "scholars" who will abuse gita or anything related to Hinduism.

On the other side, we hv sampardayee gianis who hv nirmala teachers and they glorify krishan "bhagwan" and gita.

The Sangat is being misled by both.

That is because the West is a post-Christian society now.

This means that Gurbani has not been enough to remove the caste system. Something else is required then.

Same can be said about kaam, krodh.... etc

This is kaliyug and very few people follow religion properly and honestly.
