Miss Pooja the popular bhangra singer who is adored by many Sikhs is actually from a Nirankari family (Cult group that had been excommunicated from the Panth in 1978 and one of the key organisations that was involved in the lead up to the 1984 Darbar Sahib Attack.)

This perhaps explains her anti-Sikh bhangra music, in particular, the song 'Menu pagg vala munda nai pasand'

Personally I believe that she should be boycotted by all Sikhs

How does the sangat feel about this?

means 'i dont want to marry a guy who wears a turban.'

In the context of modern Punjab where the majority of youth are cutting their hair so that they can look more attractive to females for marriage, most turban wearing Sikhs would find it offensive I think.

Given that Miss Pooja is openly a Nirankari and has released 'Nirankari Religous Music', we know that the Nirankari movement is blatently anti-Sikh and was responsible for many Sikh deaths in the late seventies and eighties, it doesnt make sense to me that Sikhs listen to her songs as much as they do?!

ah thanks bhai sahib...

i see

i dont know what we can do... she has creative art.. besides bro... this is the time where guru ji's beloved stand out... Kalyug for sure bhai... but remember, we will be ferried across... we cna only do so much, and if people do not answer guru jee's call... not much we can do. We can do parchar for millions of years, give millions of discoures, but if guru jee's hukam is for them to wander aimlessly forever... then that is how it is.

woops .. miss pooja, who is she ..?? voila .. i'm so ignorant

dont worry, she's so much of a nobody that i'm surprised anyone started a topic on it. she duets on punjabi songs, maybe because she wanted to bring that genre back, or maybe because she just sucks if she's singing her own stuff. look her up in google but most of the stuff you'll probably get is random hindustani celebrity sites - and it wont be her music that their writing about.
