Advice on Bhagti From Guru Angad Dev Jee Taken from Kudrati Noor by Pr. Satbir Singh Translated by Admin www.tapoban.org Guru Anagd Dev jee spoke very little. He would come to Sangat and give advice or explain bani and succinctly express Gurmat in short saloks. On Wealth Guru Sahib used to say that one who has recognised that the world is only temporary will not spend all his effort on gathering wealth. ijnI clxu jwixAw sy ikau krih ivQwr ] clx swr n jwxnI kwj svwrxhwr ]1] Guru Sahib told his Sikhs that a truly successful person was not one with the most wealth. If they can see that a human comes with nothing and leaves with nothing, why would they spend all their…

Gurfateh jee, I was having a conversation with my brother last night, he was saying that although the soul always stays the same whilst it goes through many different life forms, the mind changes. For example when your a human you have a more complex mind, to be able to make decisions, express feelings/emotions etc. However if you took a life form as an animal, your mind will change to fit the thinking of an animal... So basically at every life form you're mann changes? Im a bit confused, can sangat give any thoughts, and back them up with gurbani please. Thanks, Gurfateh jee

See title, I recently got my first two pairs and don't have any idea how I am supposed to tie them. I know this might sound silly for some of you, but I want to do it the right way as specified by our Gurus.

This has been bothering me a lot, as when I want to read in Gurmukhi the numbers are the only thing not put in Gurmukhi (The type where it's written in English but still Gurmukhi.) See below for what I mean (Shabad Ji in bold): mehlaa 3. <--- How is this pronounced. Is the number before Mehlaa, for instance: "Tinn Mehlaa"? Third Mehl Dhan pir ayhi na aakhee-an bahan ikthay ho-ay. They are not said to be husband and wife, who merely sit together

Something i came across today: The four candles burned slowly, their ambiance was so soft you could hear them speak. The first candle said, "I am Peace, but these days, nobody wants to keep me lit." Then Peace's flame slowly diminished and went out completely. The second candle said, "I am Faith, but these days, I am no longer indispensable." Then Faith's flame slowly diminished and went out. The third candle spoke, "I am Love and I haven't the strength to stay lit any longer. People put me aside and don't understand my importance. They even forget to love those who are nearest to them." And waiting no longer, Love went out completely. Suddenly, a c…

http://www.sikhnet.com/inspiration/many-mo...world-can-dream Many more things are wrought by prayer than those of which the world can dream… THE WINTER DAYS were severely cold. In the small dark room in the corner of the house in which she sat, she comforted her brother in her lap. He was severely ill with a lung infection and was unable to speak. He did not let anyone even switch on the lights. For almost three full days, she sat there in the dark, knowing that she had a Physics exam coming up. But nothing could comfort her more than comforting the lovely, miraculous child who was now lying in his sister's warm lap. The three days passed. It was now the morning of th…
