Saw this on the Tapoban web site about Shaheed Major Baldev Singh Ghuman. Below is what the son of the respected shaheed wrote. Says it all about our so called "Panthic" leaders. They are nothing but opportunists who will milk events for cheap publicity and to get themselves in newspapers but do not give two hoots about anybody but themselves. "As Kiran Ji said that Mr. SS Mann should have a Shaheedi day for my dad and other singh's, their are some hard realities of life of the families of most Shaheed Singh's; that no one really supported them. In my families case no one came to check on us including SS Mann and Dam Dami Taksal. For me the concept of "panth" have shatt…

WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH The child whispered, 'God, speak to me' And a meadow lark sang. The child did not hear. So the child yelled, 'God, speak to me!' And the thunder rolled across the sky But the child did not listen. The child looked around and said, 'God let me see you' and a star shone brightly But the child did not notice. And the child shouted, 'God show me a miracle!' And a life was born but the child did not know. So the child cried out in despair, 'Touch me God, and let me know you are here!' Whereupon God reached down And touched the child. But the child brushed the butterfly away And walked away unknowingly. WAHEGURU J…

WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH ok me knows ive gone a little wild today with my stories but this one is for my most favoriteee bhenji ever...umjumm..aka...anjaan  The old monk sat by the side of the road. With his eyes closed, his legs crossed and his hands folded in his lap, he sat. In deep meditation, he sat. Suddenly his zazen was interrupted by the harsh and demanding voice of a samurai warrior. "Old man! Teach me about heaven and hell!" At first, as though he had not heard, there was no perceptible response from the monk. But gradually he began to open his eyes, the faintest hint of a smile playing around the corners of his mouth as the sa…

In this topic we look at the similarities between Bhai Gurdas Ji's Vaars and Gurbani. Bhai Sahib's name is well known in the Sikh Panth. His work is given title of "Key of Gurbani". It is shame that some people just to prove their point go as far as saying Bhai Sahib's Vaars have been altered and are not in original form. When Bhai Sahib Ji wrote his Vaars he not only had Gurbani in front of him but also Bhagat Bani. His Vaars are writtn in complete accordance with Gurbani. I personally rank him the smartest Gursikh in Sikh History. He had more knowledge of Gurbani than anyone else in Sikhi. he was a great scholar and most trusted Gursikh of Guru Ji. Let's look at some va…

Gurdwaras and Youth Arvind Singh Is it End of a Civilization? Are we witnessing the end of a Civilization? Is our own Sikh civilization slowly self-destructing? Thirty years ago, eminent Sikh Historian Khushwant Singh had predicted that Sikh civilization is in decline and there may be no Sikh left by the year 2000. Was He Right? Sikhs not only survived but celebrated the 300 Years of Khalsa with pride in the year 1999. Today Sikhs thrive in Punjab, Rest of India, South Asia, UK, and here in North America. Thirty years later, while receiving Nishaan-E-Khalsa award at the Tri-Centenary Celebration at Anandpur Sahib, Khushwant Singh admitted that he was wrong. Realit…
