Here's a great site. They've taken and translated all the key words from the Guru Granth Sahib ji and sorted them in decreasing order. This way you can focus on learning the most common words first. http://www.chardikalaa.com/glvoc_fr.htm You may have to download the Gurmukhi font.

The Badal family are beginning to count their days. The new generations are somewhat educated so the political powers in punjab will shift. Where is this power shift going to go ? What changes will the future bring? And realistically how will it effect the average "sikh"

I was watching a lecture by Dr. Kamalroop Singh Ji Nihang and noticed something interesting. He mentions that the British attacked Sri Akal Takht during their raj. This was at the 9:20 mark. He mentions this as being Mazhabi ithaas as it was these Sikhs who became shaheed. If anyone has information on this event please post.

AURANGZEB’S STATE POLICY AND PERSONAL LIFE Dara Shikoh, the elder brother of Aurangzeb and favourite son of his father Shah Jahan, was being prepped up to become the next ruler of India. He was a very mild and open-hearted person and was very close to Guru-ghar. He had faith in the greatness of Siri Guru Nanak Dev jee Maharaaj. He kept contact with Siri Guru Har Rai jee Maharaaj. Aurangzeb was least liked by his father and for this reason, he was sent off far from Delhi, first to South India and then to Afghanistan as a governor. Aurangzeb had religious tendency from the beginning and as Shah Jahan was getting old, he started lobbying the hardcore and strict Muslims se…

It’s About Time It’s about time you noticed Me. It’s about time you talked to Me. It’s about time you smiled at Me. It’s about time you leveled with Me. It’s about time you called Me. It’s about time you realized, That it’s about time For Me. This is one of many poems I wrote since I have realized how beautiful it is to have Waheguru Ji's kirpa in my life. The story behind this poem is a common phrase we all hear our friends, family, and even ourselves say "what about me?" I got thinking (I know a few would say, "oh no...she's thinking!!! ") . Does Waheguru Ji wonder, when will this manmukh realize that "It's About Time For ME!". Bhul Chuk Maa…
