What Sikhi means to Janet Lant Listen Chris Hammers, I never got around to telling you some of the things about Sikh religion that convince me of its authenticity. One major evidence is the "Holy Book" of Sikh religion known as the "Granth Sahib". The Granth Sahib was complied over a period of 240 years by the hands of the beings that founded Sikh religion. All copies are matched to the original handwritten one. It is scientifically impossible for any known being to write a book with all the qualities found in the Granth Sahib. Below are some of those amazing qualities: * It is written using very deeply profound words obtained from over 16 languages. (I would say that …

WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH Everyone on life goes through struggles sometimes or the other. When we are going through them we question Waheguru! We ask waheguru why he did this. This is a short story, of why the struggles waheguru gives us in life are not to hurt us but to help us. A man found a cocoon of an emperor moth. He took it home so that he could watch the moth come out of the cocoon. On that day a small opening appeared, he sat and watched the moth for several hours as the moth struggled to force the body through that little hole. Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could and it coul…

http://panthic.org/news/129/ARTICLE/1306/2...efcc4b065f9f2e9 The Sikh Kirpaan by Manvir Singh Khalsa 'Are you carrying a weapon?' 'You are wearing a dagger!" 'Is it legal for you to carry that knife?' No one knows what the Kirpan is. These are some questions posed by non-Sikhs to Sikhs who wear the Kirpaan. 'Kirpaan' derives from two words. 'Kirpaa' means 'mercy' and 'kindness'. 'Aan' means 'honour' and 'dignity'. The Kirpan is a tool of mercy to upkeep dignity of others. The Kirpan represents honour and justice. The Kirpan is the manifestation of Vaheguru's virtues of protecting the weak, upholding righteousness and destroying tyranny and negativity. I…

Baba Naudh Singh was a great gursikh of 19th century. He was a complete gursikh and a role model to everyone who had one glimpse of his radiant face. This story is taken from “Baba Naudh Singh” by Bhai Veer Singh Ji. One day there was a talk among the people that one Arya Smajee preacher has come to the village. People picked up their sticks and started marching toward where preacher was sitting to beat him up because he spoke against Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Coincidentally, Baba Naudh Singh was going home through that way. He saw that a man with a haircut and a white beard was surrounded by some people. Baba Naudh Singh asked him, “Brother, how did a person like you with clea…

This is one of my all time favourite shabads... makes me realise what an egotistical, tunnled, blind individual I am... and that I don't even exist - Because everything in this world is Him. The One Primal Being, The Amazing Lord Who Existed long before 'I' came along and will continue to exist long after 'I' have gone... WOW... Dhan Dhan Guru Sahiban... WOW... Once listening to katha of shaheedi of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, I came across a misconception about Guru Ji. This story is being preached by most of the dhaddis, and parcharaks everyday. The kathakaar said that Bhai Jaita Ji could only pick up Guru Ji’s head by placing it with his father’s head first. In other words, Bhai Jaita Ji chopped off his father’s head, switched it with Guru Ji’s head and then went to Anandpur Sahib. This is well written in Sooraj Parkash and Panth Parkash. Both granths are respected in the Panth but everyone knows that these two granths are not 100% correct. In fact, no puratan text is 100% accurate. The only way we can disapprove a story is by com…
