Sources told Hindustan Times that Jathedar Vedanti was convinced that the practice of using sub-caste with names was contrary to the teachings of Sikhism.     I asked my friend why i never see him in gurdwara sahib.. he is about 19 yrs old.. He told that once him and his bro-in-law were doing sewa of washing dishes in langar hall on wednesday night (we have big program every wednesday in fremont) and there was this bibi jee too in pants/shirt (came from work) so anyway.. a sewadar of gurdwara came and told bibi to "stop doing work" because she is not wearing traditional salwar kammezz.. that's what his reason was.. i told him that's stupid and he should continue to go there no matter what and told him it's only between you and guru jee..     Vaheguroo jee ka Khalsa Vaheguroo jee kee Fateh!! i think that we should try to enforce proper etiquette in the gurdwara.. yesterday i noticed some very disturbing things... naturally a lot of people were talking... a girl that I know was sitting with her eyes closed and then her sister (whos not into sikhi very much) came and disturbed her... and she opened her eyes and her sister was like.. "were you sleeping or something??" :| soon they started some really upbeat kirtan... the girl in front of me practically started dancing to the beat while sitting there and then my sister leans over to me during hukamnama and asks if i needed new shoes... because Shoe Wareh…
