We all know Major Sandhu, and who he is,but isn't it weird that he now appears on Door Darshan TV (DD Rayat TV) Sky Channel 833 - which may I point out is part of India's national broadcaster Door Darshan,I find this weird as for the past year Major Sandhu has been cussing the Indian Nation and Govt openly for their actions, - even made a Song Narkhan Nu Ja Delhi Diyeh Sarkareh. Hes on now BTW 833 9pm - 10pm as im on moderation you might get this msg late

Everybody on earth knows how Panjab as a land and Sikhi as a religion has been raped and pillaged in the self proclaimed ‘world’s largest democracy’ since 1947. Yet nobody has had the courage to sing about it and release it in the mainstream Panjabi music market. This album has done just that, but has been made to pay the price for taking a stand on the side of truth and justice. The majority of the so called Panjabi channels and radio stations have banned the song, because they are a tad scared of what the government might say to them. This is your chance to listen to the soul shaking song ‘Delhi’ (Nee tu narkha nu javeh delhi diya sarkare) in the album ‘The Next Step’. …

Over the decade I have noticed a sharp increase in divorce rates within the Sikh community. We used to look at the white atheist/abrahamic communities and thank our lucky stars were not like their families because of the high number of divorces and family break downs. But sadly the desi/asian communities of all religions are now on par with their white counterparts. It seems to me that boys and girls especially of our generation do not take the wedding vows or the anand karaj seriously they seem to live in carefree non-religious mindset without a care for how sikh society is structured and importance of religion in holding communities and families together. The girls…

http://www.emgonline.co.uk/news.php?news=6542 There maybe an answer to the continuing dilemma for the Sikh community – a lack of men wanting to wear a turban. Well the answer is simple, make it cool to have a turban, create some positive vibes around this important issue of identity. Recently we have seen an increase in the amount of Bollywood artists that have embraced of screen, dresses in this breath taking attire. The turban defiantly make a man look handsome, someone you can trust and if I am perfectly honest dare I say it ‘sexy and drop dread gorgeous’ – I am just hoping the editor does not edit this line!!! Recently in Leicester, a project lead by Trolochan Si…

Vaheguru Je Ka Khalsa, Vaheguru Je Ke Fateh... Been meaning to post this for a while, at this years Sikh Federation Programme we were talking to some local MP's regarding how to better represent Sikhs. The MP's asked a couple of important things here: - How many people have ever written/spoke to the council or local MP? -Are you in any roles within the community (school councillor etc) MP's mentioned that most minority's have same issue, they do not get involved in council, community activities (wider community) and hence do not get their equal say. It is up to us to get out and get into positions where our voices will be heard. Just thought i'd post it

A lot of Sikh women dont wear make-up because they believe that their body is beautiful as is. But some Sikh women say that it is just for fun, and doesn't do any harm. So what do you think about make-up? Would you wear it if you were or are a Sikh woman?
