I have. My brother's friend from High School got married a week ago and we went. Hes a south Indian christian. I felt so out of place. The girl that the guy was marrying use to go on missions to punjab. Some white precher was talking about his missions to punjab. The whole thing is like made to make non-christians feel weird as hell. And the 3 best men were punjabi sikhs. one sardar. So if you have a choice to go to one or not...don't

The news groups have an obligation to have a decent social/reigious knowledge and address implications that the portrayal of some images could have on a community. Since when does wearing a turban relate to muslims AND 'radicalization'? The turban isn't even a religious or spiritual item for Muslims. Some muslims wear it, but the majority don't. Either way even if muslims do wear it, it's still wrong that they're attaching the image like that. If I hadn't known better, i'd say it was intentional: Found on the sbc/yahoo homepage.

Please post what you do for the panth today. It can range from Community Service, Langar Seva, Stopping somebody from Discriminating against another, Educating a person about Sikhism. It can be as small as a posting a facebook or Twitter Status talking about Sikh ideas and inspirations., These small things if put together are the foundation of a movement. Please post.

One thing I wanted to get some discussion on was parchaar, or the lack of it. If we forget about parchaar to other communities for a moment (because thats a separate issue on its own) and think about parchar to our own children, younger brothers/ sisters etc. The Christians have Sunday school, the Muslims are known to teach their kids to read the Koran at very young age etc. What do us Sikhs do? What actually takes place where the youngsters can learn anything regarding Sikhi from. One maybe 2 Gurmat Camps a year? How many Gurdwara committee's are actually interested or active? Just wondering what other people think about this and if anyone has anything in there area th…

back then was waaaay different. ppl didn’t attend higher education or have much to do after the age of like… 13, lol. you’d have 13 year olds boys and girls that know how to do kethi, cook entire meals, etc nowadays even 22 year olds are extremely immature and can be sheltered. the average person doesn’t know how to do anything except their 9-5 which they are probably half arsing as well. -

Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
