After the interesting pictures I found online about the Sikhs of Chile, I came across these images of Sikhs in Brazil and how they are running a school for local children. We might to agree 100% on the views of the Yogi Sikhs but they are active in bringing their lifestyle to the knowledge of the wider public. This also brings Sikhi to the attention of people who would not have had an opportunity to know about it. http://community.sikhdharmaworldwide.org/your-stories/brazilian-sangat/#jp-carousel-273 http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=mOzlHhS_2Qc

The Sikh Theory of Dual Sovereignty. The three paramount aims of Nanakianism, ab initio, are: 1.) The reorientation of the individual from a base creature- a creature of the senses- to a spiritually attuned and intuitive being. 2.) The consecutive reorientation, and arraignment, of societal atrophy vis-a-vis equality and universalism. 3.) The establishment of a corporate base from whence the downtrodden and oppressed can be made to realize their status as founts of all civic authority and be steeled to resist both socio-political and politico-religious tyranny. Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the initiator of the ethos, openly decried the incumbent pow…

I have heard that the miripiri acedemy in Amritsar has serious problems. Prior to the school being set up the children of American Sikhs were sent to various Indian schools. However, there were problems involving drugs, pregnancies and abortions and the children were rightly removed and came packing to the States. Yogi Ji decided to set up the Academy to prevent the problems mentioned. However, there are similar problems as before and maybe more serious. I understand that students have access to class A drugs via an Indian supply teacher and that person may be involved in sexual relations with girls and boys. There have been some abortions. My concerns are as follows: …

Misdeeds of Dudley's Ill-Informed Gurdwara President and his Minions! Guru Nanak Singh Sabha Gurdwara (GNSSG), Wellington Road Dudley, UK, Update: GNSSG has recently been very busy undermining the teachings of our Gurus through various violations. Here's a quick update on what they have been up to:- 1) The Gurdwara committee has put an end to the daily Simran done by the ladies in the Darbar Sahib during their sadh sangat programmes. Gurbani says, "Saas Saas Simro Gobind" "Meditate on the Name of God with Every Breath". The committee should be finding ingenious ways of encouraging Simran - not stopping it. 2) The committee, under the leadership of the president, …
