Dear Sangat Jee This may be trivial but is there any shabad or jaap we can recite to help bring prosperity? With the current economic climate we're struggling to support family and manage household bills. Thanks in advance.

Hi to everyone in the Sikh Sangat community! I wasn't sure where to post this question, but I chose to post in this forum because I think the views of this community are the most closely matched to my own. I've never been a particularly fearful or scared person, but around 3 months ago I had an experience that changed all that. That day I was at the lowest point in my life, I felt as though nothing I was doing in life was working, no matter how hard I tried things were ending up a failure, this has been going on for the past 3 years with regard to my finances, ever since my old business collapsed, any new venture I tried ended up not working or failing again from circums…

Puratan Sikh art Different depictions of guru gobind singh ji
Last reply by GurjantGnostic, -
Here in the UK, there have been cases where British born non practicing Sikhs have taken the shahada and become practicing Muslims i.e. turned from their parent's religion Sikhi, to Islam. I've noted that in this cases, Gursikhs and Amritdharis find out about the person or are approached by the person's family and turn up to the newly converted person's house to make them see sense / see the light. But this response is reactive rather than pro-active. Person's converted now, heart, mind and soul, bit late for the Singhs to be turning up to the person's house to start their parchaar and try to convince them to turn back to Sikhi (when they were never in it in the first p…

http://indiafacts.co.in/jesus-christ-impending-genocide/ Let us now turn to Wells’ analysis of genocide that The Bible warns Jesus is going to unleash upon us. According to The Bible, Jesus would return to the earth holding a sickle in his hand (Revelation 14:14). An angel would tell him that it is time to start a bloody genocide. Another sickle-wielding angel would join Jesus and the duo would start a violent carnage. The blood they spill would cover the ground up to the horses’ bridles in a space of 1,600 furlongs (Revelation 14:15-20). Now, 1,600 furlongs is about 320 kilometers, and a horse’s bridle is 1.5 meters high or so. If we take the bloodbath to be circular w…

Beard curling 1 2 3

Please have a look at the attached picture. After curling, the guy's beard looks cleaner and less messy without having to cut it. I think this is a better alternative to Sikhs who end up cutting their beards in the pursuit to "look good"/"presentable" or even a better alternative for trying the beard, although it does require you to go the same salon where kes are murdered everyday. Your thoughts?

Sukhmani Sahib In House
by Guest Kaur- 8 replies

Hi I am hoping to hold a Sukhmani Sahib paath at our new house soon to receive Guru Ji's blessings. I have never done this before and so have a few etiquette-related queries. I would be grateful if anyone has the answers or could point me in the right direction. How is the SGGS Ji brought to and taken from the house? Does someone from the house need to carry the SGGS Ji or will the Granthi Ji do this? What rules are they regarding having Guru Ji in the house? I assume there should be no alcohol/meat/eggs in the house and that the house should be clean. As for the langar and Karah prashad, should this be cooked in the house or in the Gurdwara and then brought ove…
