Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa! Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh! When having Ishnaan at Harmandir Sahib or any Sarovar, is it ok to have keshi ishnaan as well? Also, are there changing rooms. If not, what is the technique for changing out of wet Kacchery to dry ones while keeping your modesty intact? Hopefully will be going soon!!

Hi I have a friend who's relative as just passed away. They own a off-licence (selling alcohol and meat products). They live above the shop and which to bring Guru Granth Sahib to their residence above the shop for Sehaj Paath. I said it cannot happen and he wishes me to justify my reasons.................. Can anyone post any justifications for not bring Guru Granth Sahib to the above premises? Thanks

I just wanted to know how other Gursikhs spend their day on Sikhi, such as the time they wake up and the banis they do and when they sleep and everything that happens in your day. Fateh. Does this happen to everyone. I know whats right and wrong but still blindly do it. I know I'll go to hell for a kurehet but carry on. The first time I do it guilt takes over but then get used to it. Sometimes I tell myself not to think cus dwelling won't be a solution. I try justify the worst things to myself. I have heard that girls are not suppose to do path di seva or any seva around Guru ji when its their time of the month but what if girls do? Leaving aside Guru ji, the general question of taking afeem (opium) in limited quantities for war/medical wounds is simply unproblematic. When you go to the hospital, they give you morphine. What do you think morphine is? It's an opiate. Even codeine (cough syrup) is an opiate! Ever had a cough? Granted, it is against Gurmat to take opium or other drugs for the fun of it. -
Yeah, that's one possibility. Another I initially thought is that it's a Muslim trying to gather info. But then, you might ask, how does he know about Sikh textual sources. Well, you'd be surprised at their resourcefulness. A final possibility is he's a weak Sikh who was asked a question by a non-Sikh and now he's suddenly feverishly wondering where it's "written" that you can't marry a young child. To the latter, I would say, you're looking in the wrong spot. Gurbani isn't a 1428 page rulebook, like Leviticus or the Vedas: ਸਿਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਪੁੰਨ ਪਾਪ ਬੀਚਾਰਦੇ ਤਤੈ ਸਾਰ ਨ ਜਾਣੀ ॥ ਤਤੈ ਸਾਰ ਨ ਜਾਣੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਬਾਝਹੁ ਤਤੈ ਸਾਰ ਨ ਜਾਣੀ ॥ The Simritis and Shastras discriminate between charity and sin, but know not the essence of the Real Thing. back then was waaaay different. ppl didn’t attend higher education or have much to do after the age of like… 13, lol. you’d have 13 year olds boys and girls that know how to do kethi, cook entire meals, etc nowadays even 22 year olds are extremely immature and can be sheltered. the average person doesn’t know how to do anything except their 9-5 which they are probably half arsing as well.
