Sikh Boys And Their Attitudes Towards Girls With Hair
by Guest Curious- 2 replies
- 1.4k views
I was curious - our religion asks both men and women to keep hair. However wherever I go I don't see women keeping hair (arm hair, leg hair, eyebrow hair, upper lip hair etc) Even the American white sikh women 3HO who are quite famous don't keep full body hair. You can clearly see in their videos that they do upper lip and eyebrow plucking. I was curious about whether the men like it this way and therefore haven't encouraged the women to keep their hair. Surely we should be raising our sikh boys with the view that they marry a sikh girl who keeps full body hair. Also I've noticed there is a huge emphasis on boys having the turban but none for the girls. No wonder many …

Wedding Plans, Dastaar And Other Things 1 2

OK. So it's come to the point where there will be the first meeting between my parents and her parents. Her and myself have know each other for a while and we are both keen on getting into SIkhi properly and both have the same views in life and espicially on Sikhi. I told my mom and dad a few weeks ago that I wear a dastaar... They were OK with it but wanted me to NOT wear a dastaar when the parents first meet. They think it may look like I HAVE TO wear a dastaar otherwise her family won't accept me. That isnt the case and she has been engaged to haircuts before. The point is that her mom has seen me without a dastaar and with a dastaar and her brothers know I wear…

Deceiving Donut
by Guest Rajbir singh- 7 replies

So my family bought these donuts that have no eggs. But it says, "May have been manufactured with the same equipment as products with eggs." It doesn't state eggs in the ingredients. Should I eat it or not? Especially since most things in the modern day in America mostly packaged food contain some type of egg or a very small percentage of something. Then we shouldn't be eating anything. I don't eat meat or eggs, have Kesh, but I'm not a Amrit Dhari. I believe that it is okay to eat this donut. But I'm wondering if it will make me any less of a Sikh.

I was just curious on the third eye when I stumbled upon this post. This guy was a Sikh and explains he felt the vibrations in naam simran and how it’s wrong, lol. He’s obviously very mistaken but it’s quite weird to think someone who he explains “felt bliss” during simran seemed it to be a bad thing and changed to Islam. it’s the first post that’s the ex Sikh. Read the whole topic posts as he goes deeper into what he experienced. He’s mistaken about yoga and side effects. https://www.ummah.com/forum/forum/misc/comparative-religion/420788-third-eye-pineal-gland?410838-Third-eye-Pineal-gland=

I have just started a new job. I havent had many to begin with so dont have much experience about the different work places and enviroments. I got the job after going through the application process. And the person who chose me for the job is nice. However the main boss who is a whiye man. Doesnt seem to come across welcoming. Infact ive only been there twice so far ad its a part time job. But I get the feeling this guy is a racist old msn type that doesmt want me there. Ive been polite and triendly to eveyone but the vibes im getting from the senior white guys seems like racism. Maybe they are like this because im new I dont know. Everytime I speak to a girl I am also t…
