Scent Of A Gursikh

Fateh sangat ji, At the end of my amrit sanchar the panj pyare said a gursikh has mehk (scent). I used to think that this meant that Gursikhs would have an aura about them because of their kamai and good deeds. But know I honestly believe they let off a beautiful smell of flowers. Bhai Jasbir Singh khanna wale has also mentioned this in a katha. He said that even when they die they let off this smell. Please can you tell me your views and provide any quotes from Gurbaani to prove this. Thank you!

Kaam (lust) is one of the 5 vices. Our aim is to overcome these 5 vices to emerge with Waheguru (God) after death. However to get married and have kids we need Kaam, so i am confused on this part. Yes we can Jap Naam (meditate) as a family man as well, but without Kaam how can we have kids. Post you're views.

Wjkk Wjkf! Hey I am thinking about taking amrit in the future...but I just wondered something of which I am pretty confused about. After a girl takes amrit do they have to wear a dastar or patka. I know amrit dhari girls that do wear dastar and some that don't wear dastar or patka but are both amrit dhari. Is there any right or wrong? Can you still b an amrit dhari girl and not wear a dastr or patka? Wjkk Wjkf!

Feet To Sggsj 1 2

I just wanted to know why we should not point our feet towards Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee? There is a Sakhi of when Sri Guru Nanak Dev Jee went to Mecca and he had his feet towards the Kabba and when the priest turned them around the Kabba moved with GUru Ji's feet, and GUru Nanak said that God is Everywhere so it does not matter where my feet are placed... So I was just wondering why we shouldnt point our feet towards Guru Ji?

Losing Friends

Dear Sangat, I have to get this off my chest! Just yesterday/today a friend and I broke it off and called it quits. We were "best friends" for about 2 years. She's a muslim convert and I'm a sikh. Why we called it quits? Religion. I know that in Sikhi, we are supposed to be tolerant towards others beliefs, and see that God is the same for everyone. So, for these past 2 years, I kept this in mind every time she would mention islam. However it came to a point where she was sending me emails; videos, links, articles on Islam or that mention Islam. (she never pushed me to become muslim, but she felt that since i'm spiritual, I'd read it or something)... I never sent her Sik…

Who is Bhai Mohinder Singh SDO? What does SDO stand for and what was his style of Keertan like, I have heard that he had a very unique style which could be debatable as to whether it was Maryada or not.

Fateh! I was totally on 'the dark side' before Maharaj Ji took pity and sorted me out. The thing is, I had a 'relapse' today and did some very stupid things which I thought I would never do again......Anyway, I'm back now but feel really really ashamed. How do you guys get the strength to stay on the path?
