Read the thread about sikh women. Stereotypes. Wondering how do people view Sikh guys. What are some stereotypes about Sikh men, good and bad?

Hi, everyone. Can you share what your stereotypes are about Sikh girls? The good, the bad, the ugly? For example: Indian girls (in general) are stereotyped as hairy, prudish, nerds, get fat after 1-2 kids, really smart (even the dumb ones), not as attractive as other ethnicities, loyal, good cooks. What do men here personally stereotype Sikh women as from your experiences with them? I'd like to know even if it hurts, thanks.

Wjkk wjkf Ive been on steroids for a while now and had a phew questions I was on steroids before i took amrit and after i took amrit and was just wondering if i have broke my amrit. Amritdhari singhs are what got me doing it, and i wasnt amritdhari then so i saw no issue. But then other people say diffrent. Now i know people say they dont agree with it and sikhi wouldnt promote it, but have i broken my amrit by taking them and have to go peshi. Personally i think its fine but wanted others opinions???

Stopping Eating Meat 1 2 3

I've been wearing a pagh for about 3 months now, I'm not a gursikh by any means. I still trim my beard but I have given up alcohol and going to clubs and bars. I feel the next step for me is to stop eating meat. I'm quite into fitness and building muscle so I consume quite a bit of protein. I eat chicken pretty much every day. I know I can get the protein from daal, sholay, kidney beans etc, but the problem is when I'm outside at work, I don't eat much meat at home. There really aren't that many options for vegeterians that want a substantial amount of protein in their food. Can anyone give me advice on how they beat eating meat and still ate nutritious food. Thanks.

Hey guys. So I have been doing paath for around 6 months everyday but I always feel like something is missing. At first I did Japji Sahib and then Chaupi Sahib. I thought this feeling would go away if I did Tav Prasad Savyea. So I did this. After 2 months, I felt the feeling again. So I though of doing Jaap Sahib (as I always wanted to do that but it was too hard ). I did this for a few days the feeling when away (for like 3 days) but that feeling is back again. Why is this feeling there? Also everytime I think about bani I feel like that, do you guys know the feeling of being soo happy and then you remember that feeling and then when you get that feeling,…

Strange Question...looking For Answers. (Serious) 1 2

This is a tough question I need to ask, but I have been suffering with this for a long, long time. I have a certain mental issue...I've been dealing with for as long as I could remember. It causes me to lose control of my inner thinking. Sometimes I say (in my mind), and think of things that I would never truly mean. I can't control these thoughts. I'm far too embarassed to tell anyone about it. I'm a Sikh and, of course, I respect God (of course, again.) This is going to be tough to explain, because it's really embarassing to reveal too much, but... Sometimes this mental issue causes me to say (in my mind), and wish for things I would truly never, want to happen. So…

Hello everyone, I am currently a teenager living in the United States. Growing up, I have always been accustomed to sikhism--my parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts--all have very strong faith and path everyday. Moving to America, it has been a little hard for them to translate this faith into me, I live in a predominantly white town, with the closest Gurudawara being 2 hours away. I know how to speak basic punjabi, I've learned it all my life, and I do path everyday—once in the morning, once before I go to sleep. However, know that I am growing up, I want to take my faith to the next level. I have had small instances where I really felt the presence of God with me/aroun…

Stress.... 1 2
by Guest k- 11 replies

How do u all deal with stress? I am in a situation where I've got family as well as work problems at the moment and as a result, I get headaches almost every day. This means I miss my amritvela coz i wake up every morning with a headache and then go back to sleep, hoping it will get better if i rest some more. But then I feel guilty all day about missing my amrit vela!! I try to do simran/bani while working during the day, but I've got so much stuff going round in my head that i really cant concentrate. So what's the best way of overcoming the stress (and the headaches)?
