Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh... i have some very specific questions about amrit, so please help me answer them. correct me if i am wrong but i have learnt that the only way to attain liberation is to take amrit, otherwise you will keep being reborn. so does this mean that amritdhari sikhs are the only people that will ever be liberated and people from other religions will keep being reincarnated? even sikhs who have followed the gurus teaching, and japped naam will never attain liberation? is it possible for a non amritdhari person to attain jeevan mukhti? or even become a bhramgiani? i am very confused at the moment, and i need these questions answe…

Leaving aside Guru ji, the general question of taking afeem (opium) in limited quantities for war/medical wounds is simply unproblematic. When you go to the hospital, they give you morphine. What do you think morphine is? It's an opiate. Even codeine (cough syrup) is an opiate! Ever had a cough? Granted, it is against Gurmat to take opium or other drugs for the fun of it. -
Yeah, that's one possibility. Another I initially thought is that it's a Muslim trying to gather info. But then, you might ask, how does he know about Sikh textual sources. Well, you'd be surprised at their resourcefulness. A final possibility is he's a weak Sikh who was asked a question by a non-Sikh and now he's suddenly feverishly wondering where it's "written" that you can't marry a young child. To the latter, I would say, you're looking in the wrong spot.
