  2. Waheguru Ji Ki Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh I received an official statement from 'Mata Sahib Kaur Sikh Academy' regarding the financial situation and structure, I have pasted a copy of the statement below. Guru Roop Saadsangat Jeo The following is a short summary of the financial situation that the Mata Sahib Kaur Sikh Academy is currently experiencing : Waheguru Jee Ka Khalsa Waheguru Jee Ke Fateh In July 2008 a loan of 1.2million for two years was taken out with Natwest bank, in conjunction with the purchase of the Mata Sahib Kaur Sikh Academy. With the grace of Akaal Purkh Waheguru and thanks to the Saadsangat not only across the UK, but Worldwide, all the Quarterly repayments to Natwest bank have always been made on time and over 200,000 has been spent on the total refurbishment and additions of the Academy since it’s purchase. This loan agreement expired in July 2010, with the bank (Due to the worldwide financial climate/recession and restructuring of banks) calling in the whole of the outstanding amount of 1.2million. With continous negogiations the bank then extended the deadline for full repayment of the outstanding debt to the end of September 2010. However, with the continous help of the Saadsangat an improved business plan with the addition of a pre-school nursery was submitted to Natwest bank, and thankfully the amount required to restructure the loan agreement was agreed to be 300,000; incorporating a deadline of 31st December 2010, with which the bank agreed. With Guru Maharaj’s beant kirpa a sum of 150,000 has been arranged and this leaves a shortfall of just 150,000. Although the deadline has once again expired, the idea is to forward all the outstanding amount to Natwest bank ASAP, as it is collected, hopefully within the next 14 days; before the case is passed to the Bank’s Recovery Dept, which would make it virtually impossible to secure a deal on the previously agreed terms. This is a humble baentee to all Saadsangat that today on the day we celebrate the pavitar avtar divas of Dhan Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Gobind Singh Jee Maharaj, please, please, please look inside ourselves and with the Guru’s kirpa be brave and give any amount you can to save our true mothers house, always remembering and rejoicing in the thought that our amazing father gave their all for us. 4. Wjkk Wjkf For any nation to survive, stability, transparency and integrity needs to be at the heart of its economy. Today we see are beloved Panjab wrapped in the shackles of slavery in every form. Khalsa ji, Panjab's biggest export is crop. A area the size of Denmark feeds atleast 25% of India's 1.2 Billion population. 4 times the population of USA. Crop prices are at an all time high. What is farming worth to Panjab? At least $45 Billion a year, if our crop was sold on the open international free market. This would give us a standard of living in comparison to developed nations. Combined with our large clothing, engineering manufacturing we would be a small industrial power-house. But Delhi only pays a humiliating tiny fraction of True crop prices to our Farmers. So they look for alternatives to make money, like Rice farming which is not suited for the planes of Panjab, hence enormous use of water, and subsequently making Panjab into a desert. Farmers are resorting to suicides to clear huge bank loans, or selling lands (buyers are mostly Delhi multi-national companies) to send their sons on donkeys across russia into lorries like animals for a better life in the UK. What about when farming falls through?, when panjab becomes a desert due the extensive farming methods? India will be fine, due to its huge investment in IT and Manufacturing. They can import crop, But Panjab has no investment in jobs and industries. We will be left with nothing. The people Who gave India it's freedom, not once, but twice. A revolution needs to occur in Panjab right now. Farmers need to revolt and sell their crops abroad. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LpexoT4se4I It is no coincidence that Akal Purkh Waheguru in 10 worldly forms stepped onto the land of Panjab. It is no coincidence that the Khalsa was born in Panjab. It is no coincidence that the Sikh Empire was formed in Panjab. Panjab is the Holy Land. All Jews around the world swear to Israel as the holy Land. Every Sikh in the world should swear his allegiance to the Holy land of Panjab. Independence and Freedom is the only Solution.

  6. Agni Source: Vedic hymnsaddressed to Agni, the god of fire. Various references to Agni are found inMahabharata and Devi Bhagavata. Some References inGuru Granth Sahib ਵਿਸਮਾਦੁ ਅਗਨੀ ਖੇਡਹਿ ਵਿਡਾਣੀ ॥ Agni is called Baisantar Devta (// Asa M.1 p473). Its other namesare Parvak and Tejas. It is an evolute from Air (Paun Devta) and labours hardlike him under the fear of the Lord. ਆਸਾੜੁ ਭਲਾ ਸੂਰਜੁ ਗਗਨਿ ਤਪੈ ॥ The month of Aasaarh is good; the sunblazes in the sky. ਧਰਤੀ ਦੂਖ ਸਹੈ ਸੋਖੈ ਅਗਨਿ ਭਖੈ ॥ The earth suffers in pain, parched androasted in the fire. Thepotential energy of fire is within the wood; it is released if you know how torub it and generate friction. Kalyan M.4 p1323 ਜੈਸੀ ਅਗਨਿ ਉਦਰ ਮਹਿ ਤੈਸੀ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਮਾਇਆ ॥ Asis the fire within the womb, so is Maya outside Ramkali M.3, Anand p921 Episode: There is no direct reference to anyepisode about Agni, the God of fire in Guru Granth Sahib Comments: We produce below a quotation regardingAgni, the god of fire as given in Epics, Myths and Legends of India (p28) byP.Thomas. It conveys the significance of this Vedic God: "Agni is the lord, protector, king of men. He isthe lord of the house, dwelling in every abode. He is the guest in every home,he despises no man, he lives in every family. He is therefore considered as amediator between gods and men, and as a witness of their actions; hence to thepresent day he is worshiped , and his blessings sought on all solemn occasions,as at marriage, death, etc. In these old hymns, Agni is spoken of as dwellingin the two pieces of wood, which being rubbed together produce fire, and it isnoticed as a remarkable thing that a living being should spring out of dry(dead) wood. Strange to say, says the poet, the child as soon as he is bornbegins with unnatural voracity to consume his parents. Wonderful is his growthseeing that he is born of the mother who cannot nourish him; but he isnourished by the oblations of clarified butter which are poured into his mouthand which he consumes."

  8. I agree with you Bhai Sahib Jee, it may be hard to get rid of it, but I believe this letter above will emphasise and try to convince Apple this app is unacceptable. If it needs to be done I will search there terms and conditions to try and find where they state offensive material will not be permitted etc. however I believe Sikh shouldn't coward out on this issue, and think just ignore. I have strong belief it will be removed just like the pressure Sikhs have put on commitee's in UK to remove what looked like the impossible (meat and alcohol from party halls)

  9. Singh Sabha Southall would prefer that their Sangat money is used to pay the £150k litigation expenses of committee members against each other, rather than Gurmat parchaar!!!

I am tired of feeling alone in a minority Having studied in a school with 9 Sikhs among a total of 2500 , 18 Sikhs in my college with 800 and a few chosen Sikhs who hardly ever said Sat sri akal to Sikhs whom they didnt study with at my ex-Employer .I am tired of feeling and being looked at differently .I hope I get my Own Country soon but whats the guarantee that the country will be governed well free of caste politics , corruption and a free hand rule of the people in power.

  12. Fair point. I would add a few more points for consideration. First thing regards the age of the Jewish community. They have been around for a LONG time and have seen it all; Egyptian power, Romans, the rise of Muslims amongst them, an Anglo empire, the rise of Nazis. Plus they have been at the centre of much of the action is one way or another (some of which you elaborated upon). I can't help but think that their sianay (or wise elders) have by virtue of these long standing experiences gained a sort of accumulative knowledge of humans and society that is possibly beyond any other communities. Even when you study psychology plenty of Jews come up as prominent in field. Hollywood has a disproportionate amount of them. They seem to be very creative and resourceful too, look at how they have such a strong arms industry and produce top notch weaponry. The legal sector too has a incongruous amount of people from this background. This seems to point at an exceptionally intelligent people. That is a very interesting point that I have reflected on. I know from people in industry that today a lot of Arab money gets pumped into the British economy via massive purchases of luxury goods and real estate. As much as Anglos might not like the ideology, their inherent avarice means that they are unlikely to ever truly upset the Arabs hence the strange ambivalent simultaneous demonisation and good PR they give Muslims here. What we need to note is that these people have good bargaining chips out there. I would say with Jews it is the strength of their intelligence and creative ability. With Arabs and Muslims it is mainly financial (and that too oil based) and the ability to cause havoc to perceived enemy states via violent reprisals. Plus in a world that values numbers (i.e. democracy), swelling Muslim ranks can hold weight. The question to ask is what do we have to negotiate with that can play at the same league as this? I don't share your views here. The point about the rehat to me is that it is yet another one in a long range of them. Whatever the original rehat given by Dasmesh pita was exactly, pretty soon afterwards variants started to emerge as is evident with the surviving strands (i.e. Chaupa Singh, Nand Lal's, Prem Sumarag and the variants of the various sampardayas). So the modern rehat maryada just adds to an already existing range to me. What we can question is the success of the original aims for it's creation and promotion i.e. providing a centralised statement of rehat for the whole panth. Plainly, half a century or so after it's release it has only been partially successful in such aims and from what I can see more and more people today are showing an interest in perceived older sampardaya rehats these days. Maybe an issue is how the SGPC seems to have used the rehat as more of a political tool than a spiritual one? Personally I'm beginning to feel the rural focus of Sikh polity is a big hindrance to global progression myself. We see no big ideas and creativity. Just myopic conservatism and the clannish protection of long standing vested interests over a genuine desire to expand. Fascinating point? I wonder what parameters you imagine this hypothetical reform movement to operate along? Personally I feel caste fissures and nepotism (both related) are a more serious problem than what you mention by the way. Note to whoever: By all means disagree with me (even vehemently!) and put your own points across for discussion. Don't just minus me without adding anything to the debate. That's just rubbish and makes me feel you really don't have any points of your own.

  13. i often have discussions with one particular family member about how corrupt our gurdvara committees are with regards to filtering off funds from gurujis golak. It definitely discourages some people from following our religion properly. It definitely gives a bad example to the youth. Its really disheartening to read or hear about such things. I genuinely hope sangat discovers a way to uproot and stop the spread of this evil weed which is slowly sucking the sanctity of our gurdvaras away. I would like to see the newly formed sikh council address this, however from what i read they arent really addressing anything significant yet. If not them, then perhaps satkaar can address this after they have dealt with the meat, alcohol party hall beadbi issue, which in itself is a monumental endevour.
