  1. Some muslim guys have commented on the video on fb and said the romanian gypo scum have been stealing from mosques in Blackburn. A very good reason to leave the EU.

  2. It's ok to ask for help from Waheguru, who else are we to do Ardaas to? But it's not wise to ask for things we don't need, eg: expensive cars, materialistic things out of greed. So, Hanji ask Waheguru to help you with any dukh you are facing and the rest is in their Grace.

  3. Ask for help first then accept bhana. Do ardaas like a child asking parents for help. The child has full trust and faith in parents. It knows that its parents will do whatever will make the child happy. So if parents say no, child knows they said no because they care for him and the parents knew it wouldn't make him happy.same way, do ardaas with full faith that god hears u, cares for u, and will give u watever will make u happy. And so if u do ardaas and u dont get that, then u have to follow bhana. Then u have to say, watever u do is good guruji. I know i didnt get wat i wanted because it isnt good for me. God like a parent knows, wat u need and wat is good for u. So u have to accept the results of ur ardaas with bhana. If ur ardaas is fulfilled, great, god is kind. If ur ardaas is not fulfilled, great, god knows best. There is a story of a Christian nun, amy Carmichael. When she was small, she prayed brgore bedtime "God i like blue eyes. Could you please change my brown eyes to blue?" next morning she was really excited and she ran to the mirror. She was disappointed to see her brown eyes. She thought god has not answered my prayers. Everyone says god is nice he answers all prayers. Then she realized, he did answer. He said, "No." she realized i asked him if he could change my eye color and he hasnt which means he said no. This is the faith one should have. That god hears and answers all prayers. Sometimes he says no. And sikhi teaches us to accept his no gratefully, in bhana. To think that God is kindness itself so he said no for a good reason. So doing ardaas is not going against hukum and does not mean u r not following bhana. Following bhana is like that good child who asks his parents for everything and when they say no, he does not get resentful or angry. He accepts cheerfully and does not forget all the other times his parents said yes and all the stuff they gave him. All parents want their kids to ask them for help so dont hesitate to ask God. However dont be like those bad kids that even parents dont like: when the parents refuse him something, he gets angry, throws a tantrum, and when the parents try to explain why or remind him look how many toys u already have, the kid says i dont care. Always ask guruji for help and things like bhagat dhanna did in aarti.

  4. Waheguru ji ka khalsa Waheguru ji ki fateh Bheinji I know a couple who got blessed with a baby after 13 years of doing Ardas & begging at Gurdwara's. Furthermore a Nihang told my friend to do Paath at Amrit Vela and Ishnaan at Sarovar which stopped his "Phulwari" Vitiligo disease after all medicine failed. So it all comes down to Faith & persistence but most of all Ardas mustn't be against Gurmat. Do Seva along with Ardas and hope for the best. Waheguru ji ka khalsa Waheguru ji ki fateh

  6. Kaurp Pen jee, It is better to be surrounded by positive people, which care for you at any cost. Then it is also useful to be self confident and believe in oneself. The world is negative by nature will try to put you down in one way or the other, but if you believe in yourself, then lesser the chances to be attaked and wounded. Sometimes, to defend oneself, though one is peace lover, give some punches(not necessarily physical punches) in return to the ill wishers, to show them, nobody can behave badly or come out with their nonsense and get away without getting something in return. You see the world is like that, they do not like being decent or fair, they are just mad dogs, they just know how to bark ..... so just give them a good kick, to bring them back to senses. i am not promoting violence, but just saying, enough, of putting the other cheek when getting slapped by the wicked for nothing, just because they think abusing others, is being like a fanatic stupid manipulator hero. So go for 2 eyes, for an eye .... or whatever you get hold first, break it on them, so they know and feel by themselves, their very own evilness. You see, a thorn is removed by another thorn ... So be strong and get justice to yourself, do not expect anything from others. And then, never ever let frustrations enter yourself and get accumulated, because, once inside, they give birth to depression. Sometimes, due to circumstances, one can not do all this, in that case, do pranayam, and some yoga, to fill yourself with positive energy, and nullify and evil remanant within, thus regain confidence in oneself and start facing the world with redoubled strength. And along with all this, pray Wahiguru to help and guide you with His Light, His wisdom .... Sat Sree Akal.

  10. Yea these are 'roma gypsies', who r wrongly called "romanians" by typical uneducated fuddhu ppl in england. They r a disgrace of a community, who id quite happily have removed from our nation. Ive encountered loads of these k@njars where i live. They steal clothes from charity clothes banks, they prostitute their OWN sisters and even take baths in water fountains in full view of the public. Biggest shame for us panjabis/n.indian/paks is that these very same roma gypsies r related to us, as a thousand years or so ago, they left panjab/kashmir/rajasthan en masse n went to europe. Some of them still practice some hindu customs, but r mostly christian now i believe. They deliberatly wear long skirts to steal as many things as possible! Yet still u will get dumb PC fools (esp arse lickin goreh), who will come out with that old chesnut of, "they have every right to be here" bakwaas. The roma gypsies who mostly live in uk, r from slovakia, hungary n bulgaria, n those nations r relieved they r finally gettin rid of these chors! Unfortunatly we have to put up with them now, which is a shame for polish/other e.european hardworkers who will be lumped in the same category as these pr!cks.

  11. I have been told by Pakistanis that these gypsies hustle them a lot too. Every ramadan they arrive in groups, they stand outside mosques where they start begging. During the month of ramadan Muslims feel generous and are encouraged to give money to poor. After the gyps finish begging, they leave in their cars. One shoukd be careful especially women. If you look at that video look how skillfully those two gypsy women got close to that woman

  13. Hanji, hope the other Gurdwaras also have these events. What would be a good idea is, if anybody reading this post is interested in this and wants to either take part themselves or for somebody they know would benefit from it, that they show this to their local Gurdwara and ask them to set up the same.

  15. Ardaas always for strength to accept what Waheguru's wish is. There is a sakhi where a sant always had a thal presented to him at night. This is an old sakhi when sants used to do bhagti and in the middle of the night, they are sent some food from heaven. Taliya akash to utardiya - if you have ever heard of that line. This sant saw that it was raining too heavily and he wished it to end. The rain stopped. That night no thali for him. He prayed for an explanation and another sant told him that he had interfered in the hukam of Waheguru. It is very hard to say what hukam is.... hukam na keheya jaye. Therefore always pray for strength to bear whatever you are having to go through. Dukh sukh prabh dhevanhar. Avar teyag tu tise chitaar. Dukh sukh prabh devanhaar. Jo tis kare soi sukh maan. Guru Arjun Dev Ji even on the tati tavi said - tera kiya meetha laage. Ardaas always for thankfulness too even for dhukh because dhukh is the real medicine. Dhukh daru sukh rog peya. Sukh makes us forget God and we think it is all right if we don't pray. However we suffer afterwards then when we have wasted time and not said our prayers. http://spiritofthesikh.blogspot.co.uk/2009/07/ardaas-what-are-rules.html

  16. Actually, I found that this movie highlighted Sikhi quite well. It sent the message out to the audience of: 1. Gender Equality 2. Non-discrimination 3. Praise of Waheguru 4. Humanity 5. Seeing God in all 6. Kirat Karni (honest work) And other moral values, that I've not mentioned. It was a simple message of sending out to the youngsters and adults of the right path and not to get diverted to the wrong negative path. And the best thing is, Gurbani was in it, and not a movie portraying pakhandi babas, or girls dancing in clubs, with guys drooling over them, portraying it's ok, etc, or the usual nonsense fictional scenes that are not real or the truth. So credit should be given where it's deserved. Maybe we should ourselves, take a look at what we are doing, rather than seeing others weaknesses all the time, look at the positives that one has contributed. Gippy Grewal has done an interview, that the people he approached were not in favour of him doing the movie, and told him to do a commercial one, which would have made profit. It's a risk that was taken, and if you see the response that it's got on social media, then good I say. It's better to spend my money on movies like this, rather than watching the same old nonsense. When the dvd comes out, I will be buying it, just as I did Eh Janam Tumhare Lekhe and give it to somebody that will benefit from it. Another point to make, is that if singers/ people like him don't make these kind of movies, then the audience that watches or follow them will not get any awareness at all of righteousness, and how to be good humans, so that's a lot a people who will benefit from it. PS: I'm not a Gippy Grewal fan, but I think he's done good on his first release.

  17. Four Principles Of Spirituality The First Principle States: Whomsoever you encounter is the right one" This means that no one comes into our life by chance. Everyone who is around us, anyone with whom we interact, represents something, whether to teach us something or to help us improve a current situation. The Second Principle States: "Whatever happened is the only thing that could have happened" Nothing, absolutely nothing of that which we experienced could have been any other way. Not even in the least important detail. There is no "If only I had done that differently…, then it would have been different…". No. What happened is the only thing that could have taken place and must have taken place for us to learn our lesson in order to move forward. Every single situation in life which we encounter is absolutely perfect, even when it defies our understanding and our ego. The Third Principle states: "Each moment in which something begins is the right moment" Everything begins at exactly the right moment, neither earlier nor later. When we are ready for it, for that something new in our life, it is there, ready to begin. The Fourth Principle states: "What is over, is over" It is that simple. When something in our life ends, it helps our evolution. That is why, enriched by the recent experience, it is better to let go and move on. If these words strike a chord, it's because you meet the requirements and understand that not one single snowflake falls accidentally in the wrong place!

  18. GIVE IT SOME THOUGHT, MY FRIENDS.... Wisdom and Virtue, combined with Humanity, makes a Person. Words of Wisdom for modern day living. When we are in heaven - Our money is still in the bank. When we are alive - We don't have enough money to spend. When we are gone - There is still a lot of money not spent. One tycoon in China passed away. His widow, with $1.9 billion in the bank, remarried his chauffeur. His chauffeur said, "All the while I thought I was working for my boss. Now I realize that my boss was all the time working for me ! " The cruel reality is: It is more important to be strong and healthy than to have more wealth. So we must strive to have a strong and healthy body-- it doesn't matter who is working for whom. A high-end mobile phone -- 70% of the functions are useless An expensive car - 70% of the speed is not needed A luxurious villa - 70% of the space is not occupied A whole wardrobe of clothes - 70% of it is not worn A whole life of earning - 70% is for other people to use. So we must protect and make full use of our 30%. Go for medical exams even if you are not sick Drink more water even if you are not thirsty Must let go even when you are faced with grave problems Must give in even if you are in the right. Must be humble even though you are very powerful. Must be content even if you are not rich. Must exercise even when you are very busy. LIFE IS SHORT - SO LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST. DON'T BECOME THE RICHEST MAN IN THE CEMETERY!! *But, become spiritual wise as rich as you can, by doing as much as Bhajan bandagee as you can, because this is the only wealth which we can carry with us into His Darbar. Sat Sree Akal.

  19. What to ask from Wahiguru? The whole world asks for things from Wahiguru. Some ask wisdom, others health, wealth, children, name, fame, and a countless list of wishes or trishnas. And all that would be nothing, but maya, koorr... Many will say, the best thing will be in us doing His bhakti as per my understanding, like jap, tap, poojas, paaths, fastings, bathings, pilgrimages, etc. But Sant Janas, Guru Sahibans, being an example themselves, clear all our doubts and tell us what to exactly ask from Wahiguru. Following are some words on this matter, by our beloved Fifth Patshahee, in His Bani Raag Suhi: ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕੀਜੈ ਸਾ ਮਤਿ ਦੀਜੈ ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਤੁਧੁ ਧਿਆਈ Kirapaa Keejai Saa Math Dheejai Aath Pehar Thudhh Dhhiaaee किरपा कीजै सा मति दीजै आठ पहर तुधु धिआई Show Your Mercy, and bless me with such understanding, that I may meditate on You, twenty-four hours a day. If we pay a bit of attention to these words, we observe that Guru Jee is asking Wahiguru, that please bless me to meditate on you for all the 24 hoursof the day. Do we know why is He saying so? Have we ever stopped to think why about it? Because Guru Sahibans know, the moment they leave us a bit free, we moorakhs will do our manmat outer dharmic practices. So in order to make sure, that we abide by Gurmat, He is being an example for us, that, it is only His Chintan, His Dhyan, His Naam Simran, which should be considered as real Bhakti, and which is accepted in His Darbar, thus should be done or carried out, not as something occasional or lightly, but regularly everday and that too as much as possible, because it is the only spiritual wealth which we shall carry with us at departure from this plane. Sat Sree Akal.

  20. God..How Should I Pray Your Way Please Teach Me, Lord ... I Want To Know Exactly How To Pray. I Need Some Words Which Ones Are Right? Please Tell Me What To Say. I've Bowed My Head I Have Knelt Down, But ...Should I Be Upright? I've Closed My Eyes, I've Bowed My Head< I've Raised My Hands, Or ...Should I Fold Them Tight? Do I Stand Up? Should I Sit Down? Dear Lord ... What Do You Like? Are Lights Turned On Or Are They Off? Maybe ...Candle Light? Wear My Glasses? Take Them Off? Be At My Desk Or Table? Should I Whisper? Speak Out Loud? Do I Quote The Bible? What Do You Think About The Time? Do You Prefer The Dawn? Should I Pray Fast, Or Keep It Slow? Better Short ... Or Long? I'm New At This What Are The Rules? I Want To Do It Right. How Do I Know You'll Even Hear That I'm In Your Sight? And While I Sat There Quietly Waiting For Some Sign, I Heard A Gentle Voice Say, "Oh, Dearest Child Of Mine ... Do You Think I Really Care About The Time Of Day, Or Whether You Are Standing Up, Or Kneeling When You Pray?" "I Don't Care About Your Posture, Or About The Place You Choose; Just Open Up Your Soul To Me, I Have No Other Rules. Tell Me What Is In Your Heart, And Tell Me What You Seek; Tell Me Of Your Sorrows, And Of Those Things That Made You Weak." "Speak To Me In Private About What Concerns You Most My Child, You Don't Need Lessons, Just Talk To Me Each Day; Tell Me Anything You Want, Dear Child, Anyone Can Pray."

  22. kaurp penjee, below is a beautiful and a technically perfect answer, given by our Simran penjee, where she is telling us in just few words, that Wahiguru is the sole motor of everything. Do ardaas to Him with a sincere heart, He will clear your ways Then, my 2 cents to this your question above, with a quotation from the Bani, as there is hardly any other way.... Dhan Dhan Satguru Ram Das Maharaj is telling us in His paavan paviter Bani in Raag Bilaval, in just two verses, how to deal with the difficulties you mention: ਧੀਆ ਪੂਤ ਛੋਡਿ ਸੰਨਿਆਸੀ ਆਸਾ ਆਸ ਮਨਿ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਕਰਈਆ Dhheeaa Pooth Shhodd Sanniaasee Aasaa Aas Man Bahuth Kareeaa धीआ पूत छोडि संनिआसी आसा आस मनि बहुतु करईआ The Sannyaasi renounces his daughters and sons, but his mind still conjures up all sorts of hopes and desires. With these hopes and desires, he still does not understand, that only through the Word of the Guru's Shabad does one become free of desires, and find peace. Here above, Guru Jee is telling us, that one does not need to become a sanyasi, or run away from the world, in order to dedicate ourselves in His devotion. Rather He is saying, while living a household life, and fulfilling one´s duties, responsibilities, one has to take out some time from the 24 hours of a day, and dedicate it in His Simran, as He is the unlimited fountain of peace, bliss and Truth. There is a saying which goes like this: as you meditate upon, so you become. This means, if we meditate on Him alone, we shall profit ourselves with His virtues mentioned above. Not only that, but something much much more fascinating...something which is beyond any expression...which is, by doing so, we merge and become one with Him. That is why the Bani says: Jin Har japeeya, se Har hoeeya. Waheguru, Sat Sree Akal.

  24. NO TIME..NO TIME. I Knelt To Pray But Not For Long, I Had Too Much To Do. I Had To Hurry And Get To Work For Bills Would Soon Be Due. So I Knelt And Said A Hurried Prayer, And Jumped Up Off My Knees. My Religious Duty Was Now Done My Soul Could Rest At Ease..... All Day Long I Had No Time To Spread A Word Of Cheer No Time To Speak Of God To Friends, They'd Laugh At Me I'd Fear. No Time, No Time, Too Much To Do, That Was My Constant Cry No Time To Give To Souls In Need But At Last The Time Came, The Time To Die, I Went Before The Lord. I Came, I Stood With Downcast Eyes. For In His Hands God Held A Book; It Was The Book Of Life. God Looked Into His Book And Said 'Your Name I Cannot Find, I Once Was Going To Write It Down... But Never Found The Time' P.S : I just found and went through this prayer poetry today, and I found that apart from interesting, it is the picture of most of us, like we are in a constant rush, even in our time into His devotion. God is a very jealous lover, He does not want anything from us, just our mind. Once the mind is given, then He gives Himself to us in exchange. Sat Sree Akal.
