  1. Where do you get your information from, I'm not in the social media world, so I don't really know about it, if that's your source. I do not go out looking for this type of information either, so if I stumble across anything it's usually youtube.

  2. The height of this stupidity is when that Punjabi actress, Sonam Bajwa, was asked about becoming Christian. She actually replied, "It's not true, I'm still Punjabi", as if that had anything to do with it!

  3. Bro, how does it help to denigrate her? Secondly, what is it she said that you think is wrong? She said physically fit masculine men are gravitating towards Islam. We might not want that to be true, but it is. Instead of giving a possible answer, you just call her names. The fact is, we as Sikhs have become far too weak. Props to the sister for calling out Sikh men for being wimps. This isn't what Dasmesh ji taught us to do.

  4. Anyway, who needs Malkit Singh when this guy can sing all of his best songs. He's such an inspiration! He didn't let a horrible voice get in the way of him singing, and he didn't let an inability to dance stop him from dancing. If only I had half as much gumption ...

  5. I went out with a jut women a while ago. She was doing the usual brainwashed 'peasant queen' shyte, and trying to give it the large. When I told her that the majority of juts are actually sullay she looked totally confused (she actually genuinely didn't know). She then went home and asked her mom. Her retarded mom told her: "I don't care what they say, they aren't juts to me.". Complete detachment from reality. Anyway, back to the Jullundry jut labourer I mentioned earlier. For the record I liked him, we got on okay, but to give you an insight into desi jut 'brains': So as we were going the same way home (the job was far off), he agreed to drop me off for payment. It was a mutually beneficial arrangement. On the long journey home, every last song was one of those 'modren' jut self-aggrandising ones. It was relentless. After about a week, we started speaking about the state of the panth, and all the white racism you witness on sites, with even white e. europeans (aka bozos) now being united, and all the problems back home. He said: "We'll never be united, we are divided over caste (jaat-paat)" When I told him that those songs he keeps pumping doesn't help and actually perpetuates the issue - he looked confused. Couldn't make it up.....

  6. This is simply not true. Even without the Afghanis, the Injection guy would be patrolling the streets, bringing justice to evil-doers when he's not recording videos of himself.

  8. About a decade ago I met some retarded girl through shaadi.com. She had migrated from India to the US a few years before then. She used the term "Punjabi" to mean "Sikh." When I informed her that there were lots of Hindu Punjabis, she insisted that they were not Punjabi. I then attempted to bring up the majority of Punjab that is in Pakistan, and that just confused her. She has probably never looked at a map in her life.

  9. It's not about being perfect, it's about displaying at least the bare minimum level of competence that a functional adult should have. Do you have such a low opinion of yourself that you can't even push yourself to meet such a minimal standard? And if you can't even do that, why do you have such high expectations for the Sikh community? I'm not sure why you are bringing up my criticism of Deep Sidhu as if it bolsters some point that you are trying to make. <banned word filter activated> Deep Sidhu.

  10. The biggest problem currently is that we are encouraged to be so unique that if we have a concept that's somewhat similar to another religion, (Christianity and Hinduism), we are told that it's not part of our traditions. I've mentioned Guru Sahib not being seen as God, by a lot of the Panth mainly as a reactionary to get Sikhs to view Jesus as God by the British, but also reactionary towards Hinduism as we are rejected that idea of reincarnation and karma. Sikhi ultimately needs to stand by itself, instead of it having to be reactionary towards something else.

  11. If you want to better understand why Sikhi is failing to spread, it is important to understand the shortcomings of the people who make up the Sikh community. To understand that, I suggest you take another look at your posts. First of all, you write as if you are 10 years old. Is it surprising that a community mostly made up of dimwits who somehow reached adulthood without being able to write even semi-coherently does not have much in the way of organization, strength or influence? Second, you are ignorant and not very well informed about anything. You clearly get most your information from perusing right wing social media. You also have a very simplistic, childish view of things. It's a reflection of many traits that have crippled our community: we tend to be ignorant, gullible, easily influenced, anti-intellectual, and incapable of critical thinking or introspection, incapable of any nuance. I could go on, but a bit of self-reflection might help.

  12. Sikhs forgot Gurbani. The men, who act as women tell them, are impure filthy and foolish. ਕਾਮਿ ਵਿਆਪੇ ਕੁਸੁਧ ਨਰ ਸੇ ਜੋਰਾ ਪੁਛਿ ਚਲਾ ॥ The impure persons are engrossed in lust. They consult women and walk accordingly. ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਆਖਿਐ ਜੋ ਚਲੈ ਸੋ ਸਤਿ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਭਲ ਭਲਾ ॥ He who walks as the True Guru tells him he is the true man the best of the good. p304 Not to mention Dasam Granth Sahib. But Sikhs want to pretend to as if Sikhism is just Western feminism with kakkars. Sikhi provides for true happiness for both men and women. And it doesn't consist of apneean screwing around.

  13. Anyway, I've always wondered about the use of bhang in war. Cannabis is usually associated with feelings of peace and relaxation - hardly what you'd want if on the frontline of violent battle. I recently come across this extract from the memoir of someone (Joseph Thackwell) who fought in the second Sikh-anglo jungh. It's one of the first references I've come across which explicitly records an example of the use of cannabis in war by a Sikh:

  14. You do both Chatanga. That's different. Solely relying on your ithihaasik information from one source, and persistently avoiding the act of reading, is as dangerous as it is lazy. Then we have the whole issue of people starting to practically worship the parcharaks - which doesn't always end well. This not only makes fudhus of the people doing the doe-eyed exalting, but then also usually has a knock on effect of sending the egos of the parcharaks into outer space. If I was harsh, it was frustration at people who appear to be avoiding reading at all costs.

  15. I am not promoting it I am just emphasizing on a fact which all most all sikh youth fail to understand is what we may find today as inappropriate might be the common practice during Guru Jis time.

  16. Bit harsh isn't it Dal lol? I listen to katha a lot. I make it a routine to listen to one sakhi from Panth Parkash every time I workout, or doing some gardening etc. But I like to read the granths myself at other times. There are sometimes passages that need a little more explanation than the straight textual translation and katha is where it helps. There are some passages from Guru Granth Sahib which are at odds with each other and Gurmat as we know it today. For instance Kes is one of the 5 ks and primary nishani of a Sikh yet Bhagat Kabir writes: ਕਬੀਰ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਇਕ ਸਿਉ ਕੀਏ ਆਨ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਜਾਇ ॥ Kabeer, when you are in love with the One Lord, duality and alienation depart. ਭਾਵੈ ਲਾਂਬੇ ਕੇਸ ਕਰੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਘਰਰਿ ਮੁਡਾਇ ॥੨੫॥ You may have long hair, or you may shave your head bald. ||25|| How many Sikhs do you think reached this standard? Gurbani itself says that rare are those who realised Sri Akal Purkh. So although we have sakhia of Bhai Mani Singh etc Baba Deep Singh etc without mentioning in any way that they took afeem, there is a mention of Sikhs taking afeem from 1711 all the way up to 1840s. In those times, afeem and bhang, (opiates and cannabis) were used by armies a lot. the Moghals and Turks used it because their empire was large and they needed to cover large distances quickly without tiring. Whole armies would consume bhang to help them do this. Armies would consume bhang to reduce the effects of tiredness before battles. My relative told that in Panjab sometimes biharis would be given bhang to get them through a hard days physical work. Opiates (used today by armies in the refined form of morphine) were widely used for those soldiers who suffered battle injuries. Soldiers would recieve slash wounds, stabbing wounds and severed fingers/hands/arms. These are horrific injuries to suffer and opiates played a huge part in the nursing of such injuries. I agree. Panth Parkash doesn't cover any yudh saying the Sikhs were fearful. It goes the other way and says that Singhs were actively looking for warfare. Today some Sikhs think that the medicines we have today were there in the Guru's times. But why get someone to stab you? they could go to jail for that. He should stab himself to feel the effect. This video explains a lot about afeem and its puratan uses.

  17. The use of afeem or sukha are likely to have been medicinal, not to cope with fear. Besides no one is saying each and every Singh took them. And no one is suggesting recreational use. Probably some Ayurvedic understanding of the substances? Let someone stab you a couple of times and then see if you could do without some form of anesthetic.

  18. You can't change historical fact. I think someone like yourself would actually detest many of your own warrior ancestors who fought and died to make sure this thing survived. I told you before to post that whole shabad so we could read it in context. But you obviously don't want to.

  19. We don't have the hardcore nasha problems you guys in India have over here in the community. I suggest you look closer to home for a real problem to solve. Besides, you can talk, trying to legitimise your gandupunh at every opportunity.

  20. Well, if you are saying that it is used to suppress sexual urges, I guess that isn't surprising given that it appears to be a very potent analgesic. I've never had any, but from what I gather (and I could be wrong) it works on certain opioid receptors and appears to disrupt pain signals? That's probably why people can do extra work on it. Veer my messenger is off. If anyone wants to say something, say it in the open. What I will say to you is (and knowing that you are in India): However our ancestors interacted with and used afeem, please (for your own sake!) DO NOT USE IT. Personally, I get funny about even taking codeine pills regularly. Be conscious of the highly addictive nature of the substance. This stuff isn't remotely like sukha. I've heard of relatives being given tiny amounts when they go to India (from the UK) because they get the sh1ts bad over there and it seems to quickly sort that out (I asked them about any intoxicating feeling they may have experienced and they told me that they didn't feel any). I've heard of a very elderly relative having some placed under their tongue when they had a sudden stroke which seemed to have prolonged their life and combat the partial paralysis commonly associated with that condition. But again, if that Gursobha quote is historically accurate, then you have to remember dasmesh pita is Waheguru, Waheguru made everything including plants and knows how to use them in a beneficial way. You can't say that about the ahhm pendu today. Also remember where most of the afeem is coming from. Sullay countries. This is another strategy to attempt to weaken and destroy us by them. Yeah, but how different is 'chittah' compared to opium? Personally (and no one has to agree with me), I favour a legalisation non criminalisation approach to these things myself. I mean before goray turned up, there was no strict ban and enforcement at governmental levels of these plant based psychotropics in Panjab that I know of, and society seemed to have worked just fine, with self regulation. To me it looks like when things get banned and ruthless people get to make loads of money off it (like prohibition), that is when we start having serious epidemics of these things. Banning itself seems to make more people curious about it somehow?? If pendus insist on indulging in opium I would rather apnay grew it themselves for the market, instead of bolstering the pak/afghan economy by buying it from them. And don't even bring in jutt culture into this - everyone knows jutts LOVE nasha - especially drinking and doing bhangra (which they've spread to the rest of the panth....). It's like a sad joke now.

  23. After General Shabeg Singh was badly injured, he was bhought to Baba Jarnail Singh in the Akal Takht Sahib. He asked Baba Ji to do Ardaas so that they could get a place at Guru Ji's lotus feet at Sach Khand. Baba Ji said that there is no need for that, as he has already reached it. This was on late 5 June - early 6 June. After this Baba Ji had about 20-25 Singhs left with him at Akal Takht Sahib. He decided that it was now time to go out and fight. He and 20-25 loaded with weapons came out of the Akal Takth Sahib shouting Jaikara's and firing at the enemy. It is said that in this process Baba Ji was Shaheed at the spot between the 2 Nishan Sahibs. Other reporters howhever claim to have seen Baba Ji's body, where his left temple was badly injured and limbs broken. It could be that Baba Ji was seriously injured between the two Nishan Sahibs, taken to Army camp and martyred there. Gyani Pritam Singh (one of the 5 Pyare of Baba Jarnail Singh) told me the truth about Sant Ji being alive or not. I rather not post here, as it is Gupt stuff.
