    I know that many afghan sikhs and some indian khatri sikhs marry cousins. Also, a khatri punjabi, Karishma Kapoor married same goth. There are also historical accounts from punjabi kshatriya people like in Maharbharat. Incidentally, British royal family seems to marry close family as well.

    I have seen something that jathebandis that were created around areas with many naamdharis in India and Africa, well these jathebandis also behave a lot like naamdharis, in their views on sikhi and even diet, just a thought.

    I agree, there is no restriction, its just a modern cultural norm to follow monogamy; and then people try to apply this norm to Guru jis jeevan as well.

    Cutting hair is one thing, but people are disrespecting sikhs just for wearing turban and beards these days, including the negative thoughts of munday, and the turban hating of the kuris! At least get sikh community to respect turban, then keeping hair is the next step, when there is some respect!

    Of course Guru ji did start, maintain or endorse puraatan sampradaiye: Guru ji had respect for the udasi samprada, one of the Guru's even gave his son to the samprada who became a leader, Baba Gurditta ji. Guru Gobind Singh also started the nirmalay, who went to Benaras to increase their knowledge/gyaan. Guru ji also inherited the Akalis from Guru Hargobind sahib and increased the samprada into the Akali nihang Khalsa samprada. Bhai Kanayha jee started the Sewapanthi samprada.     There is Uxbridge cricket club near me. Also have cricket and I believe hockey facilities in the Brunel University near me. They have nets for cricket at Brunel. Public is also allowed to book facilities.
