  1. in this fun, innocent way it's kind of ok. they are also preserving some folk stories and sayings in their boliyaan. It's only when people start obsessing over bhangra competitions and also these bhangra songs and videos which objectify women and use lyrics which dumb down our community, that's when things are going bad and we need to concentrate more on our sikhi, learning bani and history, and even preserving raag music and raag keertan etc.

  5. please read 52 hukumnamas of Guru Gobind Singh, it says not to start grihast jeevan without anand karaj, so you cannot have partner without anand karaj, so you cannot have a girlfriend.
  6. I know that Baba Dyal Das' son mass introduced Anand Karaj ceremony to sehajdharis, and then the Nirankari sect performed first Anand Karaj around Guru Granth Sahib which was probably at a stage when Nirankaris were mostly keshdharis or perhaps amrit-dharis too. I am unsure at which stage Guru Granth Sahib started getting mass printed in pad-ched saroop. It would probably have been difficult to do modern style Anand Karaj when there were only a few hand written Guru Granth Sahib saroop, such as during Guru Gobind Singh's time there was literally only one Guru Granth Sahib saroop for the whole panth at one point alongside a few Adi Granth saroop. Therefore it would have been really difficult for most sikhs, even most Singhs to do an Anand karaj around Guru Granth Sahib before mass printing during colonial times, and there would have been a different ceremon back then. Even today, if someone wants to perform Anand Karaj around larrivaar saroop of Guru Granth Sahib, they would need to locate where larrivaar saroop is prakash! Maybe it was only Nihang Singhs or few Singhs who performed Anand Karaj in front of Guru Granth Sahib. I guess Nihnag Singhs took Granth Sahib saroop with them wherever they went so they can do prakash anywhere? I also thought it may have been a fire ceremony and have heard some Nihang Singhs practise this, but also below states anand Karaj in front of Guru Granth Sahib. Intrestingly though, they seem to use Anand Sahib and not laavan in this description! ‘Among the religious orders of the Sikhs in the Panjab, the Akalis may be said to preserve whatever remain of the customs of the last Guru. When they marry, they do not like the other Sikhs, call a Brahmin to perform the nuptial ceremony. A Sikh priest is summoned. He reads the Anand, or epithalamium, composed by Guru Amards. A sheet is then thrown over the bride bridegroom, the well-known chadar-dalna marriage ceremony of the Panjab. The holy Granth is used as a witness on the occasion, instead of fire, which is an invariable concomitant of Hindu marriage ceremonies, Karaparshad is then offered to the Granth, and distributed among the guests, after which the ceremony is complete. The Sikh priest, who has favoured me with this information, considers this marriage knot superior to the elaborate one of the Hindus. It is cheap, simple, and equally efficacious.’‘Western Image of the Sikh Religion, A Source Book, edited by Darshan Singh, Pa. 279-280
  7. https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/The_Amazing_Spider-Man_(TV_series)_Season_1_3 Peter Parker visits Rita Conway in her apartment, and they talk briefly. He tells her that he's going to go down to the university and check out a new exhibit in their museum, the statue of a god from Khalistan, Rava, which is the religion of a Khalistan cult that has become prominent on the campus. CIA and mi5 are both actually of khalistan movement. CIA have documents noting that khalistan is an egalitarian state that sikhs are fighting for. The british know that khalistan or independent sikh state been around since colonial times, and purposely ignore sikhs to make the khalistan movement appear as useless, and propaganda and media makes khalistanis terrorists because india want to make people afraid of talking about it at all, because they are aware it was a legitimate movement during colonial times and want iit to appear illegitimate. I got all this information from a lecture from a sikh group in uk, I think they have khalistan in their name and are linked to sikh group, maybe linked to sikh youth but honestly I cannot remember. They are definitely not khalistan referendum. I remember they showed a timeline from punjab's annexation which showed the british introduced 2 laws which undermined sikhs, as well as India introducing a 3rd one after independence.
  8. like even many times in real life and imitated a lot these days on fictional tv shows, people seem to turn gay/lesbian because either they were "experimenting" because teens and 20s are considered too young for a life partner these days, or because they had an experience with someone of the same gender and decided that they are into gay/lesbian. Also some of these experiences are due to being drunk or high on drugs. Discounting all those people who have had same sex feelings from a young age, the people I mentioned above seem to have a lack of control on their 5 vikaar/ chor such as lust kaam. It goes even further when you hear about the multiple gay partner thing such as in the 80s and 90s which exploded in a hiv pandemic, and I think gays still do this right? And it just makes it obvious that some of these men are doing this to satisfy their kaam lust as opposed to "just" being attracted to men, especially when I hear about this peadophilia stuff going on many decades even in usa and british governments and movie stars! A lot of being attracted to men and children is out-of-control lust kaam, maybe it is an offshoot of the sexual revolution of the 60s which was also out of control kaam.

  10. To be honest, when lgbtq+ stuff starts happening by prachariks like dhadri, nsj and sukha, then we also need to bring these personalities into the conversation. since dhadri and his associates nsj have alreadybeen excommunicated by akal takht, should we not be bringing them into conversations. Also Sukha's situation, where he mentioned to someone that a Singh in a dera, maybe a Nihang Singh, put his hands down his pants. Then we need to mention this negative behaviours that probably turns people like sukha into doing gay stuff. Similarly, dhadri influenced the nsj Harinder into doing the gay stuff. Like there's an activator who then passes the behaviour onto others, sometimes in a cult like dhadri/nsj. It's actually kinda good that they didn't do it in a gurdwara like those weirdoes in usa, who put shameless pics of one of them sitting on the laps of the other. Why do people like that want Anand Karaj when they don't even know how to behave in public, what does Guru Maharaj mean for them?
  11. putt jattan deh with ancient greek and egyptian imagery, so what is their message exactly?
  12. more autotune, to hide their average voices. but in this case, they have already lost their language which is a big part of their identity. Imagine if punjabis lost punjabi and started speaking english only!
  13. why a linkedin profile though, that really limits things? anyway, all your link shows is the profile for a Singh in Cardiff, who I actually already have on my linkedin. no post about any girl.

  15. what is this, eh kee baneya firda? this guy is a sidhu? he looks even more shocking than jazzy b's fashion. Everyone thinks auto tune will make them famous. no deol bro, we still aren't going to vote for you in the elections, you fail. don't need much money to get people to appear in music videos, especially if they are newbies in modelling industry. Just need a makeup artist as well.

  17. didn't sarbat khalsa used to pick the budha dal jathedar? when sarbat khalsa was called, the misls got together, and outsiders like phulkian misl or sometimes even ramgharia misl did not usually come to sarbat khalsa, nowadays I don't know what the criteria is for who is allowed and who not. Normally the akal takht jathedaar should wear bana and be shastardhari, I do not feel this has been the case for the last 100 years...
