  1. maharaj will do his kirpa if it is in his karam....al you can do is liveby example and do ardaas for billions and zillions of people in his position to find the truth.... vaheguru
  2. seva of any sort is not physical...it is all to do with your mind...if i go and clean someones shoes but have hunkaar in my mind then that cannot be classed as seva....what is your frame of mind whilst doin seva.... this one mahapurush used to use his one hand to do maharajs seva and his other for all his other daily activities(like bathing, going toilet, eating etc)....out of love and respect for maharaj...one day due to ill health he was paralised on one side of his body...so the hand on the side that he used to do his daily activities with he was not able to move....he could have decided that he would give up that part of his rehat now because this is his situation now(one that maharaj has obviously given him)...however he instead decided that he would no longer touch maharajs paviter saroop from that day....im not saying that this is they way everyone is able to be or should be....this was this saints particular sharda...and i for one have respect for it.... the point of telling this story is that everything is not black and white....personally if i am on my period and maharaj is there and seva needs to be done then i will do it...i would never abondon maharaj like that...however if there are other gursikhs ther to do that seva then i would not....because yes i feel unclean...when there is crap coming out of you....you do tend to feel that way...but that is me....everyone may not feel the same way....but who is anyomne else to judge...its in your sharda... if there was me and another person in a room with maharaj...and i did not do seva of maharaj because of my period and the other person did...and then we were both to die...i honestly beleve maharaj would treat us both the same....becasue that person did his seva out of pya for maharaj...and at the same time...the raeson i did not do that seva was out of pyar for maharaj...ultimately i think it comes down to pyar and sharda... sorry for mistakes
  3. y do you find this topic completely absurd....im confused why do people have ishnaan every morning....why do we wash our hands and feet before entering maharajs darbaar....dont bite my head off....genuine question?
  4. people right shouldn't turn everything into arguement...have love not hate... as far as this spiderman thing is going...to do parchaar and inspire people in this world today, especiallly in the west you have to speak to people in thewre own language....kids respond to cartoons....you ask a child today his favourite cartoon character he'll say spiderman, or superman etc...you make these characters sikhi friendly i think they will in some way want to relate to sikhi...so i guess in a way it does parchaar...however this particular character i beleve is negative(correct me if i am wrong as i have not seen the new movie)...in that case i dont think it is such a good idea to represent sikhi with bad characters...yes i know there are people that represent sikhi and that arent great characters...however we cannot change that, only they can....this is different...this is a cartoon and if the purpose of it is parchaar for the youth(i mean kids that like spiderman etc) then maybe it better just sticking with the good characters.(again that is if spiderman is bad...ive heard that he does go bad)...maybe stick to the blue and red... however if this is just for your own fun....then maaf karna but its degrading to represent sikhi with something tjhats negative out of your own choice(just refering to spiderman three)we dont like it when bollywood represents sikhs as jokes in their movies then why would we want too... sorri for mistakes
  5. r singh could pm me some of those recipes... thanks :TH:
  6. gurfateh ji one thing i was thinking was that whilst you doing your nitnem...it is very important to know what it is you are saying...so it maybe worth listening to some katha or possibly reading a book on the meaning of each bannee in your nitnem...and i dont mean just the outer meaning like translations etc...but listen to some great mahapursh's katha on the meaning of the 5 banneeaa...when you now what your are saying you are more inclineed to listen to it...and recite it with love...then everyday it will feel like you are learning something new...as bannee is infinate.... i apologise if you already do this...just giving my 2pence worth i guess we read bannee to praise maharaj...and to understand how and why we praise maharaj...that is how people go through the 4 different stages of spirituality(this is jsut one reason that i beleve...im sure there are many others)... sorry for mistakes... gurfateh ji
  7. like 'khalistan_zindabaad' said...get ready...read bannee...have full faith in maharaj... vaheguru
  8. dont now i think it ok to listen to bannee...as then at least you doing it shud(properly)...perhaps follow it with a gutka sahib....but defo i think sometimes it more beneficial to listen to it
  9. also i was thinking you seem quite hurt by stuff thats going on right...taking you at face value...if it means that much it is'nt going to be easy to fix it takes much more than throwing a couple of punches....u need to have the bannee behind you the dicipline in your life...and then it worth getting up and raising the sword if all other means have failed... without that whats the point...this world a game bro...we all going to die one day...depends who you want to die as... as far as this situation goes: Rules of Dharam Yudh as prescribed by Dhan Dhan Satguru Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj. 1)War to be waged should be without aggression or feeling of emnity and revenge. 2)Before war is begun, all peaceful means of dialiogue, arbitration and negotiation should have been tried but without any success. 3)The soldiers should be volunteers devoted to the cause. 4)The defeated enemy should be treated with consideration and compassion. No women or children be captured or maltreated. 5)That minimum force be used for subduing the enemy and as a last resort. 6)No territory is to be annexed, no looting or wilful bloodshed is permitted. The army for Dharam-Yudh must observe these conditions, for they have to set an example as Saint-Soldiers. Think about it are all the people that you are saying are fighting for the cause going by these laws of vaheguroo... last note...no-one is trying to discourage you from sikhi....just dont be misguided in thinking that to fight for sikhi only on the outside will help the situation...there is a reason why sikhi is as great as it is...and the reason you are so proud of it is because of gursikhs such as bhai dharu singh ji, baba deep singh ji, bhai sati das ji, bhai mati das ji...and all the shaheeds...you think anyone would be that great without bannee...then why do we try to be.... again sorry for mistakes hope maharaj blesses you.
  10. bro it seems you more interested in izat than sikhi....but you have to realise that without sikhi at its best theres going to be no izat....thats why maharaj created the khalsa....in one of your posts you dismiss drinking as it is an imperection that is not that important....but paji the reason it is kureht is so we dont become thugs and just cause violence with no self control...to be drunk and fight for sikhi is stupid...its contradiction....and say if you fight for sikhi whilst you soba...u nock someone out...doing your bit for sikhi right ...but if that was the case then why would you go the next day and get drunk in some bar and EMBARASS sikhi...as you say all these singhs are doing by being "cowards"...u can see why it would look like you just want a fight...i think it may be worth thinking what it is you are fighting for...is it sikhi?? ill tell you bro we could argue forever but sikhi tells us that the person that learns in an arguement/debate is far better than the person that just carries on thinking he is right....so we should all question what we say right....ive said all i have said in accordance to vaheguroo...he is my source for thinking...who is yours?? vaheguru...sorry for mistakes
  11. theres nothing wrong with doing bannee on your mp3....but i think what alot of people forget is that we dont just fit our nitnem into our lives....but our nitnem is what keeps us alive to keep us going in our lives....if you are struggling to fit your nitnem into your day then yes do it on mp3 bare minimum...but dont ever forget its value...i got into the habbit of missing my nitnem for a while and even though i was really busy(so you'd think it would be justified)...if i loved maharaj enough i would have found a way to do it... "jin prem kiyo tin hee prubh paayo" this is the best advice though... vaheguru...sorry for mistakes
  12. everyone can do seva simron and sangat...no new elite bhai sahib ji...THE KHALSA LOVES ALL
  13. appeal....and state in a sponsership letter that you are capable of covering there cost whilst they are in the UK....also im guessin rather than showing too much funds...they may have not properly said hoe those funds have come about....like through a business or a savings account etc....sometimes if your finbances dont make sense...the authorities suspect that you are trying to lie your way through the system to get into the country(for example if those funds were borrowed from someone else..etc) not to sure though...
  14. dont now that was why i was askin...is it integral part of their religon...or just culturalism, or extremism...would be interesting to know... vahguru...sori for mistakes
  15. I LIVE TO EAT....LIVE 4 LOTS OF OTHER STUFF TOO....BUT EATING IS DEFO HIGH UP IN LIST AKAAAL HEE AKAAAL
  16. ok as funny as this sounds....JustME bhaj or penj....dOnt apologise for your ignorence...just dont be ignorent i get why this looks funny to someone who doesnt believe it...and i dnt wanna come across as someone who has no sense of humour...just when ppl mock the anand karaj cerimony...because they dont understand it...it really hurts me...why would you want to do the same back to the hindu faith...or any other for that matter... as far as the cow issue goes...each to there own i guess...its the understanding that they have right now i guess...i dont now much of the hindu religion...is the cow an integral part...or something that has been culturally developed...like i mean how much respect they show it...is that what their religion advises them to do...or they gone abit OTT...?? sorry for mistakes
  17. vaheguru... all those gursikhs had beautifull jeevans...we need to work on our bannee and our devotion to maharaj and a truthfull way of living....then that time will come for when we will be able to prove ourselves to maharaj and have darshan of such great mahapurush... vahegurooo
  18. you cant lock people and say dont let girls live away from home....just everyones got to be careful...educate each other and your younger siblings...dont oppress them because then they'll feel the need to go elsewhere for trust, love and respect more.
  19. so how do you love dushts??? like indra ghandi...gobind ram...hitler...etc... im not saying have hate for them....because obviouly maharaj tellls us not to have hate for no1 and to love everyone....but i genuinly cannot figure out how to have love for people who have given so much pain not only to our kaum but all of humanity...innocent people... im not saying my way of thinking right...just struggle with this love issue..especially when it comes to people that cause pain on such a huge scale... its easier said than done... sorri for mistakes
  20. sori "katar" means strict and "sharada" means your personal humility.
  21. There is a certain marayada that maharaj has given us to treat guroo granth sahib ji maharaj....and im not sure but possibly gutke sahibs too....however when it comes to any other form of gurbani....like ipods or pda's....surely it should be the sharda that you keep...the reason i say this is because i started becoming very katar in the way i kept all gurbani however, the amount that i actually read and applied banee to my life was bare minimum....so then i think it just became pakhand and possibly even bipran kee reet....its like showing this ultimate respect....but true respect would also consist of reciting and applieing gurbanee to your life... maharj says:"jab lag khalsa rehi niaara, thab lag thej deu mae saara. jab ih gai bipran kee reeth, mae no karo in kee partheeth" im not saying to keep respect for ipod etc is bipran kee reet....but what i am saying is that in my opinion your sharda will tell you how to respect your ipods and mp3 etc....and this sharda will slowly grow as your banee does....just because someone tells you on this forum to respect it a certain way does not make it right and the only way....if your heart tells you that you feel disrespect by holding your ipod with dirty hands then wash them....that way the respect is true because it is coming from yourselves.... a mahapurush once i think saw a pothi sahib fall on the floor...or he himself was putting it down somewhere and it fell on the floor....he was so distraught by this that he straight away did a whole akhand paarth sahib by himself, to ask for forgiveness...that doesnt mean this is what we all are going to do in the same situation...it just means thats how much sharda he had and if we read banee we may be blessed with the strength to have that much sharda too one day.... try to grow in your sikhi...concentrate on this...on your love for vaheguru... your sharda and respect will natuarlly grow itself... "jin prem kiyo tin hee prubh payo" - its your love for vaheguroo that will determin the respect you keep....and some people have more love than others....just like the mahapurush sorri for rambling and mistakes... gurfateh
