Well, I've been wondering this for soo long, and I wanna get your views on this. When the attack on Harmandir Sahib occured, where was this so called 'fauj of kalgidhar'. Either when the attack happened, or in delhi riots, when thousands of Sikhs were getting burnt alive?

Didn't it occur to them to atleast try to save their own people, because I haven't heard any incident where a group of Nihungs got together, and decided to take arms.

Are these guys just good for drinking bhang? wacko.gif

These guys are suppose to be the army to protect the Khalsa, so where were they when all this was happening? :umm:

Please enlighten me, since I'm a mere fool in this subject, and don't know much.

Bhul chuk maaf!

Well, i think the were nihang singhs anyway. Im not completly sure. they may have been jus singhs. The khalsa is the Kalgidhar ki Fauj.

:St: Thats a really good question Daljeet.

ALthough i don't know much about various jathas etc. when i was little, we had a small Gurdwara in my semi Pind. it was sorta personal cos everyone in town built it themselves. We as kids used to go there do seva. We had Parbhat pheris. Lots of fun times. But then we had one Nihung singh who came over and started taking care of the Gurdwara. PRetty soon it was over run by Nihungs.

Now no one goes to the gurdwara and its sorta locked up. :umm:

WE got to ask this question to those fake nihangs of uk (nangs) lol

As i know that Nihangs were under bad leadership because their leaders were so completely controlled by RSS and Congress guys during those days. For example, they even accept the MONEY HELP from INDIRA ghandi of reconstructing Akal Talkht after operation blue star.. (Which is unthinkable thing).. They were excommunicated from sikh panth for that reason.. (Correct me if im wrong)...

Quite a good question.. where were nihangs during 80's and early 90's ???

I mean these 'Nihungs' are heavily armed most of the time, is it just for show? Why do they carry such heavy weaponry, when they can't even use it when they are needed, or adopt to modern shasters to fight the enemy, after all guns are shasters too rite? Are these Nihungs just "bhekhi" (show-offs)? :umm: Because all they do is smoke weed all day and what else?

Man there are sooooo many questions, so I hope there are some Nihungs on this board or see this topic and we'll get our answers. But I don't know... :T:

Raz..

Here's what i found from Searchsikhism.com

Well people may still question the effectiveness of Gatka in the streets. During our research we learned that in 1984 when the Golden Temple was attacked by the Indian Army, it is said that four Singhs stood at each of the doors of the temple, swinging their Shasters (full length swords) in a basic movement from the Gatka and nobody could come within a ten-metre range of them.
