right kara

I've noticed majority of the sikhs wear their Kara on right hand Side... and I also noticed that Amritdhari people have their Kirpan over their right shoulder goin to their left hip.. not the other way around... Any specific reason for that ???

karra should be on your writing hand.. because you use that hand more often..

yeh and also with the kirpan, u would wear it on the right hip if u are left handed, so it wud be easier to get to in a situation.

hmm interesting. but i suppose theres nothing wrong if the lefthander chooses to wear the karha on the right hand or have the kirpaan on the left/right???? i mean where we wear them doesnt matter hunna???? its the fact that we wear em and respect them as kakkars that matter. isnt it??? :umm: :umm:

it dus matter where we wear the kara. We shud alwez wear it on our stronger side. the karaa is there 2 remind u of Akal Purakh n if ur karaa is on ur weaker side, then u dnt use that hand 4 things like writin, n den u dnt feel d karaa n u 4get about Akal Purakh. this is y we are alwez tld 2 wear it on our stronger side, so we feel it more often n we remember His name.

i don't think it matter what side you wear it on, the logical way would be to wear it on the hand you use the most, to remind you of its purpose.
