grin.gif   I'm not too sure... are us Sikhs allowed to wear Japanese, Persian, Spanish, or other styles of swords and daggers instead of Punjabi/Indian or Sikhi ones?

I personaly would only want to wear a sarbloh kirpan as a part of the five kakar rehit. Carrying any of those swords in addition to the sarbloh kirpan is okay i guess.

Ofcourse its ok, and its hukam.

Every culture has different meanings for their weapons. I.E. The history/symbol of the Katana, Tulwar, Roman Swords, etc. etc.

Guru Sahib says: "Jite shastra naamung namaskaar taamung, jite astra bhaeng namaskaar taeung"

We read daily in Jaap Sahib "Namo shastra paane, namo astra maane"

Shastar can be of any kind, from guns/swords to cannons, etc.

Its a hukam of pitaji to carry all sorts of shastars, and do full aradhna of the shastars you carry, and your kirpan should not be blunt, if you keep a blunt kirpan you don't understand the meaning of it.
