I doubt there is an historical reference to this matter and it’s a more a case of a later influence.

Hindus pour milk on their idols and also give thoof to idols aswell and I think this has probably been bought in to Sikhism aswell.

Yeah I understand that but the point I am making is that most people use milk etc as they think its some sort of holy thing like Hindu's do. That's what I'm saying. Use milk etc if it cleans items better but don't use it under some religous pretext.

yea kumi your right! it is because milk is the most pure thing. thats why they use milk.i think its pure as in it doesn't have anything added to it. it comes pure. nothing with it to make it different.

Its funny how Hindus do the same, if anyone can provide proof of an historical reference to this matter other then the fact Hindus do the same I would be surprised.
