Guest hmmmm

I've been told that jathedar Jodinder singh vedanti has said that facial hair on women is unnatural.

is it true that he said this? is there any press release or article or some proof that he has said this? cuz if so, he is of the opinion then that electrolysis and getting rid of facial hair for women is ok...

Why dont you go and ask the people who told you this? Ask them for a proof... and then show it to us?

It is a fact that both women and men have facial hair. And most if not all Sikh women remove it.... and I believe rightly so.

Imagine if your a guy and your future wife to be has facial hair. I'm so but that's just plain wrong.

Facial Hair for Khalsa Sikh guys is more imporant than any other Sikh. All this equality nonsense is just plain stupid because men and women are both different in their physical charateristics.

Wasn't Sikhism created to get away from stupid rituals.... so why force other Sikhs conform to something they dont want to or not ready for?

If Sikh's guys n girl happier and feel more within themselves and with Waheguru without these ritualitic attachments or conditions then wots the problem?

Would you rather see your Sikh brother / sister depressed and feel trapped and burdened in their religion or happy and activitly contribute towards it.

vaheguru ji ka khalsa vaheguru ji ki fateh

well why should they feel depressed for ?... if they have the love for vaheguru ji !...and it wil all pay off in the next life right ?

and if people dont support each other ESPICALLY SO CALLED SIKHS!!...then obvisouly people are going to be depresssed... religous people should not judge just because they may have a little facial hair ( that does not mean a whole beard like men!!!)... if people suported each other and they know how much piyar they have for vaheguru ji and then maybee they wdnt feel down!

and people would have enough courage to do WHATS RIGHT!

at the end of the day men and woman are both humans... oh yes that does mean having hair!!!... being natural not to remove it!..

vaheguru ji ka khalsa vaheguru ji ki fateh

bleeching, cutting, anytype of allteration where you are changing the natural state of you kesh is NOT allowed in Sikhi. {END}

He should not temper with the hair with which the child is born. He should add the suffix "Singh" to the name of his son & "Kaur" to the name of his daughter. A  Sikh should keep the hair of his sons and daughters intact.

A sikh can NOT alter there kesh in anyform, this refers to kkesh on anypart of body and altering in anyform. The Guru's accepted and emphasized the understanding that man was created in the true image of Akaal Purkh, vaheguruu.

Vaheguruu is perfect and its his hukamm which is therfore perfect. Vaheguruu jee gave us kesh and therefore we should keep them and not change Gurujees kesh in anyway.

Sorry but that doesnt apply to ALL Sikhs only to those who have been baptised into the Khalsa and since I chose not to want to be a Khalsa any time soon. I rather follow Sikhism without all the hang ups on keeping kesh or not.

Remember the majority of Sikhs are sehejdhari's / mona (ie who cut their hair) the second group is keshdhari's and lastly in the core of Sikhism are amritdhari's , and rightly so. Thats the way it should be... only those who are strong enough mentally and physically should be amritdhari's / khalsa Sikhs.

It is historical fact that before guru gobind singh ji intiated the khalsa. Followers of Sikhism from the times of guru nanak ji to guru teg bahadur ji came in all forms (hindus / muslims - those who cut hair and those who didnt).

Let's not discrimate our brothers and sisters who do cut the kesh that will only move them away from sikhi...becos they do not feel welcome.... our religion is a open and loving one the way it should be.
