Veerji / Bhenji

Looking at this theory from Gurbani perspective In Japuji Sahib from Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji it says:

kvxu su vylw vKqu kvxu kvx iQiq kvxu vwru ]

kavan s vaelaa vakhath kavan kavan thhith kavan vaar ||

What was that time, and what was that moment? What was that day, and what was that date?

kvix is ruqI mwhu kvxu ijqu hoAw Awkwru ]

kavan s ruthee maahu kavan jith hoaa aakaar ||

What was that season, and what was that month, when the Universe was created?

vyl n pweIAw pMfqI ij hovY lyKu purwxu ]

vael n paaeeaa pa(n)ddathee j hovai laekh puraan ||

The Pandits, the religious scholars, cannot find that time, even if it is written in the Puraanas.

vKqu n pwieE kwdIAw ij ilKin lyKu kurwxu ]

vakhath n paaeiou kaadheeaa j likhan laekh kuraan ||

That time is not known to the Qazis, who study the Koran.

iQiq vwru nw jogI jwxY ruiq mwhu nw koeI ]

thhith vaar naa jogee jaanai ruth maahu naa koee ||

The day and the date are not known to the Yogis, nor is the month or the season.

jw krqw isrTI kau swjy Awpy jwxY soeI ]

jaa karathaa sirat(h)ee ko saajae aapae jaanai soee ||

The Creator who created this creation-only He Himself knows.

Only god knows when and how the world began because he is The Creator and was True in the timeless beginning, true when the ages began, true now and forever will be true.

To think something started and then ended. To think something born and died is VERY HUMAN.

We always think that if something is there then it must have started at some 'time'. But its hard to think something eternal...something timeless. and thats God, Waheguru, Allah, Ram,Hari.......

If we know God then we wont ask this question. We ask this question only cuz we are unawre of God.

Just my thoughts....I may be wrong.

Waheguru ji ka khalsa,

Waheguru ji ki fateh.

not good to say. We should ask so we can learn. if u dont have waheguru in you how will u find him? asking questions

on topic...

Ive read some astonomy books latley and this is what ive always thought and still think

The universe itself started out as a Big bang, this is totally correct.

Remembe,r in gurbani it says worlds have been destroyed and made over and over at god's wish. The human race knows.. how it got started this time. and maybe other races did know too

but matter of fact is, the concept of the world being created from a singularity, is true, but not even Eienstein can answer how did the singularirty come there, what was there before that, blackness?

According to religion, Since things get destroyed (universe) before that singularity a world existed, such as this one were on, But, it 'collapsed' Search google on The Big Crunch Theory it is when it will expand and eventually colllapse and 'reverse' of big bang wil happen when the gravity pulls itself together and everything sinks into one big black hole. Then, that black hole will again explode at god's will, creating the same process were in. WE are only humans, lower than slaves, and not even ants compared to Him, Waheguru. If he wants his creations to know he will bless us, if not, we shal never know, and know only when We ourselves have become apart of him.

I think u didn't understand my point there.

Knowing God is a state of full contentment. No questions at all. U r at total peace.

Knowing God means u know everything already.Knowing God means u understand something beyond time. No ifs no buts....No whens No whys....just peace.

You may not agree......i may be wrong.

Waheguru ji ka kahlsa,

Waheguru ji ki fateh.

This whole world started from ongkar dhuni.

Gurbani says:

Pirthame On(g)kar So Dhun Poran Jagat Mae Raha |

First ongkar was spoken and then that resosance created world and give nourishment to this world. (Siri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, Dasam Granth Sahib)

Ongkar aad kathni anad, Khal Khand Khyal Gurbar Akaal ||

Ongkar Bhrama Utpat |

Giani thakur singh ji damdami taksal talks about in the katha- bhrama(creator) came from ongkar resosance by giving above reference..

Ongkar Kiya Jin Chit |

Ongkar Saiyel Jug Paie |

Ongkar Vaid Nirvaie |

    • Yeah, that's one possibility. Another I initially thought is that it's a Muslim trying to gather info. But then, you might ask, how does he know about Sikh textual sources. Well, you'd be surprised at their resourcefulness. A final possibility is he's a weak Sikh who was asked a question by a non-Sikh and now he's suddenly feverishly wondering where it's "written" that you can't marry a young child. To the latter, I would say, you're looking in the wrong spot. Gurbani isn't a 1428 page rulebook, like Leviticus or the Vedas: ਸਿਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਪੁੰਨ ਪਾਪ ਬੀਚਾਰਦੇ ਤਤੈ ਸਾਰ ਨ ਜਾਣੀ ॥ ਤਤੈ ਸਾਰ ਨ ਜਾਣੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਬਾਝਹੁ ਤਤੈ ਸਾਰ ਨ ਜਾਣੀ ॥ The Simritis and Shastras discriminate between charity and sin, but know not the essence of the Real Thing. Without the Guru, they know not the essence of the Reality, know not the essence of the Reality. Anand Sahib.
    • You're confusing two different things: One is merely adding starch to a turban to get a certain feel to the fabric. The other is tying your turban once and taking it off like a hat. It is this that people have a problem with. What's wrong with it is that Rehit says to tie your turban afresh every time. If you ask, "Where is that written?", it's written in Bhai Nand Lal ji's Rehitnama. @ipledgeblue didn't just make it up. Umm, no, bro. We're not evangelical Christians like President George W Bush of the US claiming to "talk to God" who told him to invade Iraq. "Speaking to him directly" basically ends up being doing whatever you feel like with the excuse that Guru ji told you to do it. If you still want to take your turban off like a hat, feel free to do so, but don't claim that it's Rehit.
    • You don't need to wear either a pag or dumalla in the gym. You can simply wear a meter or 1.5m small turban (gol pagg or round turban). It doesn't come off.
    • The reason you don't see anything wrong with it is because like a fish in water, you grew up in Western culture and imbibed it fully. It's very difficult to for parents to inculcate traditional culture while in the West. The reason there is a problem is because a kiss between a man and wife is a sexual act (I didn't say it's coitus, but it's still sexual.) By contrast a kiss between a mother and a child, for example, is not sexual. And in our culture, sexual acts are not allowed in public. Goras do allow it. And that's also the reason they have gay pride parades now with people walking around naked with children in attendance and so forth.
