Police in North Bristol are appealing for information after a man poured and lit petrol outside of the Sikh Temple on Muller Road.

At 3.50am on Saturday, December 10, 2005 a man went into the Esso service station on Muller Road and brought petrol in a jerry can before walking off.

Then at 4.19am the man was seen pouring petrol outside of the Sikh Temple and setting fire to a small area near to the front of the temple.

No damage was caused by the blaze which was quickly extinguished by fire crews.

Although no one was in the temple at the time, the incident is being treated as a race hate crime by Bristol detectives.
