I am visiting Queens' College, University of Cambridge,Cambridge, United Kingdom from July 2nd-5th, 2007. I am coming from United states and will be landing in Heathrow. I was just wondering what is the best way to commute between Heathrow and Cambridge. Can somebdy guide me on this.

Unless you have a car and will be driving, i would suggest catching a train.

you will probably need to get a train from heathrow to london then another train to cambridge, let me know if you need timetables and cost etc. or if you're driving, get the M25 then the M11 motorway which will take you straight into Cambridge.

Is there a direct train service from Heathrow to Cambridge?

I know there is a bus service but my friend prefer train over bus, so we are looking for a train service.

ermm u would have to travel to central london from heathrow to catch a direct train service to cambridge, most likely liverpool street, or Euston, or kings cross

when are you coming? weekday or weekend?

NO train goes direct to Cambridge from Heathrow, but you can catch the Hethrow connect, or heathrow express train from the airport and they wil take you directly to London Paddigton train station, from there you can catch willl need to go by underground to another station where the first connect stops.

or you could catch a caoch from heathrow which will take you direct to cambridge form hethrow bus garage it will cost you about £35.

I will be arriving in the UK on July 1st (sunday) in the morning at about 10 am.

How much time does the train take (approx) from Heatrow to Cambridge (including the stop over at London)? And how does it compare to a bus?

National express isnt as train, its a coach service,

The train wil take about 15 minutes from heathrow to paddington, then your looking at about another 1 hour 30 minues to 2 hours, (i think) provided the trains are not late or cancelled.
