this is what they replied to me,,,,...........................(its not good enough)..........

Dear Mr Singh Thank you for your email regarding 'File on 4'. I am sorry you were unhappy with our File on 4 documentary on Sikh militancy. The programme was presented by an experienced and respected Sikh journalist and we were at pains from the outset to make it clear that we were focusing on the activities of a minority of people - so I would hope that nobody would be tempted to draw any broader conclusions about the community in general. However the issues we reported are of obvious public interest both to Sikhs and to the wider public. I therefore think we were justified in raising the questions we did and in reporting information based on good sources both here and in India. As we said in the programme, the idea of Sikh militants being linked with Islamist groups is ?particularly surprising given the traditional animosity between Sikhs and Muslims which was accentuated during the partition of India.? However the various agencies and experts that we spoke to, both on and off the record, are adamant that this is what is happening and we had no reason to doubt them. Thank you once again. Yours sincerely, David RossEditor, File on 4

Dal Khalsa UK Press Release Follow Up

Previous Press Release http://www.sikhsangat.com/index.php?s=&amp...st&p=327290

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/south_asia/7281371.stm

After the BBC radio 4 programme against Sikhs the Indian PM has come out in support of what was said in the programme and agrees with almost every aspect and lie that was told in the Radio 4 programme against Sikhs,Dal Khalsa UK Strongly condemns this programme and the statement of the so called Sikh Prime Minister who even while wearing a turban makes ridiculous claims such as the one in the BBC news report,we strongly believe this is a co ordinated attack on the Sikh diaspora/community living in the West to counter the rising support for Sikh Freedom & Self Determination in the Western World Amongst Sikh Youths in places such as UK,Canada,America & Europe. The BBC has worked hand in hand with the Indian Govt, its establishments,KPS Gill's so called Human Rights groups, and with Sikh tratiors such as Himmat Sohi,we cannot see no reason for why they would make these statements at this time, when there is no militancy, but can only draw to one conclusion that this is a calculated an co ordinated attack on Sikhs by the Indian establishment and BBC in response to campaigns such as Ban The RSS in the UK,which has exposed the Indian establishment,Shamed it along with exposing the extremist Nazi Hindutva thinking across Europe and America, this is also in response to the new Sikh generation in the UK waking up to Indian,Hindutva atrocities against the Sikh nation.

We ask all Sikhs regardless of Jathebandi to speak out against these lies and smear campaign against UK Sikhs,

Please can all Sikhs complain to OFCOM the Media regulator

COMPLIANT TO OFCOM

On the 26th of Feb 2008 BBC RADIO 4 Broadcast File on 4 at 8pm.The programme was full of slander and complete lies against the Sikh Community, the reporter and producers made claims such as Sikhs have joined hands with Al Qaeda,UK Born Sikhs recieve training at Pakistani camps, lies that Sikh leaders give speeches to encourage militancy and terror from Pakistan over the internet there is no evidence of this on the web,Sikhs were falsely accused of bombing Air India in 1985 no Sikh has been proven guilty for this bombing,Among other lies were that the Sikh Homeland in Panjab is in the midst of a militant insurgency,Sikhs in the UK fund terrorism,UK Sikhs support terrorism through temple funds,Sikhs are forging links with Islamist terror groups,Sikh temples are becoming breeding grounds for Abu Hamza style Extremist preaching, the list is endless,This has had a huge effect on the average public who is uneducated ,Sikhs already get attacked due to mistaken identity after 9/11 .By broadcasting statements like the above:ie:Sikhs are with Al Qaeda this increases the risk of innocent Sikhs getting attacked.Sikhs in no way or shape or form support or fund terrorism and neither are we with Al Qaeda and nor do we receieve any training for any purpose from them, their is no proof that Sikhs have carried out acts of terror as said in the programme these are lies and amount to slander of the UK Sikh Coummunity,we are disgusted by the BBC and at how low their standards have become, and urge OFCOM to take swift action agianst them.

Please copy and paste the above in to the form in this link: http://www.ofcom.org.uk/complain/progs/spe.../?itemid=286480

i sent in a complaint about a week ago about the broadcast and a few days ago recieved a reply saying....

"Thank you for your e-mail regarding 'The One and Only'.

We are sorry that you did not like the show.

The BBC aims to broadcast a wide variety of entertainment shows to cater for as many people as possible.

Talent shows in their various guises have always been an important part of television entertainment.

We hope that viewers will engage with the singing stars and their journey towards improvement through the series, as well as be entertained by the variety of much loved popular songs sung live with an orchestra.

Thank you again for contacting the BBC.

Regards

BBC Information"
