Disrespect Of Gurbani By Leicester Sikhs

Recommended Posts

Don’t also forget all them audio tapes, CD covers, DVD covers which have Gurbani printed on the sleves and which we chuck around at home or in our cars. And then there’s the Gurbani content within audio tapes/CDs/DVDs/Hard Drives which we just ignore because we can’t see the Gurbani. I found a freebie Nitnem CDs at Southall Nagar Kirtan chucked on the floor and my wife found one in the toilets at Park Ave Gurdwara. So if someone is picking on just this then also think about each and every action of “disrespect” we are also involved in.

Is Ik Oangkaar hung up high on a street as disrespectful to someone chucking their laptop with Sikhitothemax on the floor at home. Or someone who keeps his Shabad tapes in a box next to where the shoes are kept. Are we all so respectful of Gurbani that we deserve to accuse someone else of being disrespectful, or do we just get a feeling of superiority out of doing it???
