Unis With Lots Of Sangat....

Go to the best uni you can, don't worry about the size of the Sikh Society. There were only a handful (5-6) 'singhs' when I started uni but, with Guru Ji's kirpa, we probably learnt more about Sikhi and Gurbani than if it was a huge society. There was also a lot of prem/ekta due to the small size. In fact, I don't know if I'll ever be part of something like that again.

Looking back, it's amazing how we went from KFC eating, clubbing &drinking to Gursikhi within a few years. Waheguru does amazing things when we stay together with prem and help each other along the path.

The Sikh Soc at my old uni is now pretty big and apparently in Chardi Kala (I read above) which shows that even if you go to a uni with very few Singhs, you can sow the seeds for the future.

At this moment in time I'm not really looking at the really highest unis but average ones like i mentioned in my above post.

It doesnt matter about the uni...its the course! some of the unis with the worse reputation specialise in certain courses and the standard of the course is farrrrrr better than other Universities which may have a better reputation. You can go to a good university and end up on a rubbish course so you've realy got to do far more looking into the course insteada basing things on the rank on the university.

aston uni rocks, and will do even more next year, lol. . .it seems the sikh socs with the support of boss are doing a very good job and hopefully in the future will continue to improve.

thanks for all the great posts, yeah definetly will need to put in effort personally if there isnt anything good going on.

I am know starting to get a good idea of the unis, seems that there is a pretty good range which is great.

yeah i get what you mean, thats why im not like only looking at the TOP unis (my grades either loll) but still needs to have certian rep otherwise employers..
