The reality of drugs in Punjab today though is the proximity to Afghanistan and Pakistan. Cheap opium and other drugs, and people making easy money by spreading drugs and selling them in Punjab.

The supply of drugs across the border of Pakistan, organised by criminal gangs from Punjab itself, growing fat off the misery and pain they cause with the money they make creating addicts. That is what is causing drug problems in Punjab.
