on some websites, its mentioned that compositions like Sri Akal Ustat and Sri Gyan Parbodh were left incomplete. Is this true ???

If a complete granth was compiled before 1699, how can some compositions be left incomplete ?

There were some compositions that Guru sahib did not get time to complete.laso krishna avtar was written in two parts one part at Anandpur sahib and the otehr at Paonta sahib.

Veer, that confusing. So is it true that Sri Akal Ustat and Sri Gyan Parbodh are incomplete ?

Why would Dashmesh Pita compile a granth in 1697 with incomplete compositions ?

I refuse to accept, as would any historian and not just an adherent, that DG ever existed as a granth during Guruji's time. I do not want to offend anyone with my point, sorry if i did that.

There are only four credible historical known birs of DG according to 'Panth Parkash', and the one of Patna Sahib which has pages attributed to Guru Gobind Singh, was according to 'Panth Prakash' written by Giani Gyan Singh "in 1832 AD Sukha Singh compiled a bir at Patna...and his son Charat Singh imitating the hand-writing of Guru Gobind Singh added five sheets to the bir, claiming it to be written by the Guru he charged much more times than the normal rate. He also wrote several birs and passed it as written by Guru Gobind Singh for monetry gains" - from 'Dasam Granth' : jagjit singh

Jagjit Singh was a heretic and a non-believer...most of his claims about Sri Dasam Granth are based on conspiracy theories...he just mentions them without giving any credible evidence to support his claims. Most of his claims have already been refuted.

Sri Dasam Granth was very much present in the form of a beerh during the time of Guru Sahib as is evident by the text above the 'table of contents' in Patna Beerh. Also at numerous places in Sri Dasam Granth, Guru Sahib himself wrote that he is writing compositions which are going to be a part of a ''Granth''. See this

http://www.santsipahi.org/patshahi10/quest.html#9

As for Khas Patras (pages hand written by Guru Sahib himself), there are many Beerhs that have Khas Patras in them. And the handwriting on all the Khas Patras are astonishingly similar. Darshan of the Khas Patras from different Beerhs:

Skepticism and desbelief has no end...

Inder Singh. I'm not sure if the Patna bir is authentic: (and let alone it being written in 1697-1698)

The Patna Bir has also no historical value. Nothing worthwhile about it was narrated to Jaggi when he examined it there.

16. The writing is simple, except that red ink has also been used. The arguments against the authenticity of its compilation, production, and mix-up of the Tenth Gurus's bani with Charitropakhyan, as noted earlier, also apply to this volume. Jaggi feels that the condition of the paper, shape of letters, writing, etc., suggest that it is a production of the 19th century.

You beat me to it Khalsaland. you are 100% right there is no end to these sceptics questions.

Yes there is more than 4 birs as this is what these moden anti sikh scholars want you to believe.

For more photos of the Anandpuri Bir visit: www.sridasamgranth.com and click at the Gallery

pictures on the right hand side. This Granth was a work in progress and the Guru has added

his corrections in some pages.

There is also another handwritten page of Guru Gobind Singh ji there as well.

There is also a picture of the Patna Sahib misl bir which is dated 1765.

There is also the Dasam Granth attributed to Bhai Daya Singh.

There is indeed many others as well from the 18th century.

Not sure where Kahn Singh Nabha got that story about Mehtab Singh story as it does not

appear anywhere else in Sikh History prior to that. Even if the story was true all the compositions were all referred to as being written by the Guru.

I refuse to believe what Jagjit and daljit singhs of IOSS write. You believe whatever you want but the fact is that these manuscripts have signatures of Guru sahib. His hand writing can be verified.

Some <banned word filter activated> govt officers who did Govt vservice all their lives and started writing on sikhism after retirement especially about Dasam NGranth whose language they did not know. They just copied the theseis of Rattan jaggi.

manuscripts are not pproduced just like that.

Mike said it right.Mike knows much more about Dasam granth than anybody else.

When youth of Punjab was being killed in fields of Punjab, these people of IOSS Daljit singh and Gurtej singh were hobnobbing with other top functionaries of Govt of Punjab to propagate against Dasam granth.

Dasam granth has internal evidence that it is written by tenth master.
