Go easy on the opinions, at the end of the day this is one aspect of the maryada of the Laadli Faujaan of Guru Maharaj.

You may not agree with them, but keep the criticism to yourself because this is not the right way to bring any change we may deem neccessary.

we have elders in our panth who have taken/ are taking the slow gradual process of bringing this maryada into perspective. All Sants Jathedaars of past have had tremendous respect for the Dals and have never had confrontations over this aspect of maryada, which they don't agree with, so who are we, some God sent avataar soormay to openly berate Dal maryada?

Remember, even when they do this jhatka, it is done in the confines of a maryada. It's not a barbeque party.

according to Taksal maryada, jhatka is allowed as an extreme wartime measure to continue the fight.

Even if we argue that today there is no pressing need for this, we can't force Dals to abandon something that has become so binded in their maryada.

It was the Dal Singhs living on horseback, eating leaves and bark, enduring cold nights and hot days for nearly a century that enabled us to survive today.

Agree to disagree as most of the Gursikhs Mahatamas have done, and levae it to Akal Purakh to sort things out and show the way to those who need it.
