It can be treated and cured. There are stockpiles in hospitals of developed countries.

Its particularly dangerous to people who do not have access to hospitals or are unable to get medical assitance. That is why its particularly dangerous for terrorists, because they lay low and if it infects them they cannot get medical assitance because they have to go out of hiding to do that.

Its a deadly biological weapon if it was unleashed deliberatly which i doubt. It could wipe out thousands if the spread is not controlled by quarantine/vaccination of those infected

Latest news seems to be that it was biological experiment gone wrong in that the terrorists were trying to weaponise the plague and they managed to infect some of the terrorists. There's no doubt that Al Qaeda is trying to get weapons of mass destruction in order to attack the west. There are rumours going around that the CIA or Mossad might have had something to do with this.
