Parkash In Basement

I was just wondering i was thinking would it be acceptable to do parkash in a room in the basement of a house?

or is it suppsoed to only be on the top floor of a house?

I've been to many programs/akhand paaths/kirtans with Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji

prakash in basements,

as long as proper respect is shown, i.e channi is hung above Guru ji, etc

place is clean, it is fine

people mainly do programs in basements simply because there is more open space for sangat to sit.

The main thing is cleanliness and respect, i.e shouldn't be a bathroom above prakash etc.

but usually people do plain prakash in an upstairs room.

Someone more knowledgable of Guru Jis Satkar can tell you but I always thought you couldn't stand directly ontop of where Guru Ji is Parkashed

As long as anywhere directly above maharaj is not in use i.e no one walks in that area in the whole house.

heck no. come on now guys, parkash of sache patshah in the basement? come on now, y dont we move our room down their and have maharaj's parkash in our room? we cant even give up our room for maharaj, wat else r we gonna do.

Would we as individuals use the basement as our rooms? Of course not, so why would you do Parkash of the King of Kings in such a place.

would you have guru gobind singh jee come to your house in your basement to give a sermon? if so then its ok, if not then definately nooooo.

Bare in mind maharaj jee is the jyot of the 10 gurus and upmost respect should be given, having parkash in a basement i fell that this would not be observed.

Its ones choice, wether they want beadbi to happen or not.

I don't think its alright!! You americans/canadians have big homes and you want to bring the king of kings to your home and that too in the basement. Hmmm...
