Sorry, but I just dont understand the concept?

I'm not being ignorant, but no one has sat me down and explained it to me, would you care to?

1. There were 10 deydhari Guru's of the Sikhs.

2. They each in their own way made a contribution to Sikhi and laid the foundations of the faith.

3. The Guru's carried the joyt/light of Waheguru Ji whilst they were Guru.

4. 7 Guru's and various holy men contributed to Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj.

5. Guru Gobind Singh Ji made Guru Granth Sahib Ji the Guru when he departed for Sachkand, by passing the joyt of Waheguru Ji to Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

6. The bani within Guru Granth Sahib Ji is the Guru of the Sikhs, Bani Guru, Guru Hai Bani.

7. Bani is also known as Shabad hence the term Shabad Guru.

But Guruji also mentions Brahmgiani which are above the 5 evils, Hankaar. Wouldnt that make them Satguru?

I never stated that one who conquers five evils become Satguru. Satguru is never touched by five evils. A Gursikh who becomes one with Waheguru does not become Waheguru. There is a big difference. Only Satguru can give naam and only he is out of the cycle of death and birth where any other Sant, Sadhu etc does not have the right to give naam. Think of a Sikh like a drop of water and Satguru like an ocean. A drop can merge in the ocean but itself is never an ocean. A Sikh can become one with Satguru but does not become Satguru. Only Panj Pyare in the hazoori of Satguru can give Naam.

"Nanak begs for the dust of the Saints."

“Saints” refers to Sangat of Gurmukhs. It is metaphor for humility. Sant is an avastha not a title.

But I thought Shabad was Guru and not Guru Nanak?

Either you are intentionally looking away from facts or just don’t get it. Dabistan Mazahib by Mohsan Fani states that Sikhs believe all Gurus are one Jot and are Shabad saroop. Nanak is the Jot of Akal Purakh and this is why every Guru called himself Nanak. Akal Purakh Himself appeared as Satguru Nanak. He was Shabad saroop and still is. Don’t think of Guru Nanak as a physical man but roop of Akal Purakh as is clear from Gurbani and Vaars. There is no difference between Shabad Guru and Nanak Guru. Each Guru that was given gurgaddi became roop of Nanak. I do not know why you are making it hard to grasp. It would be better if you talked to someone in person.

didn't guru gobind singhji state in dasam bani that all gurus from guru nanak are one jot and there is no difference between them. they are one. and that fools will not understand this.

and he invested that jot in guru granth sahib before going to heaven on his blue horse dilbag.
