Ragi Darshan singh has a new passion these days. He goes around to different gurudwaras in USA Instead of doing kirtan iwhich is his job he delivers sermons on Dasam Granth by fabricating his own stories most of which are not found in dasam granth.

On one of his visits to a gurudwara sahib in Rouchester , New York in Sept 2009 he lectured

that there is a charitra in Dasam granth that says that Guru gobind singh went to a prostitute.

Guru sahib refused to have physical relation with prostitute fearing that the offspring out of this union will be called a Bharua ( <banned word filter activated>) . The fact is that there is no such writing in Dasam granth sahib.Charitras are written in third person style where a minister is reciting tales to his king. When Gurdwara committee of this Gurudwara sahib came to know about this realty they decided never to call ragi again to their gurudwara.

His lies were exposed by Jus Punjabi TV, New york on Friday, Oct 16 in a programme called Mudda. The programme was an eye opener and created an awakening among many sikhs and exposed Ragi's ulterior motives. We commend the lead taken by Jus Punjabi in standing for truth and exposing lies of vested interests whose motive is to harm sikh heritage.

I congratulate the owner, Penny Sandhu, for allowing to air this programme. It has helped many of us to filter truth from lies.

Thanks for sharing this.

Anyone with close personal knowledge of Ragi Darshan Singh or his family, please share what his motive or stimulus was for starting this movement against Guru Gobind Singh Ji's bani.

It's amazing to think this is the same Ragi who years ago specifically mentioned "Dasam Granth" in his katha and went on to quote many lines from Dasam Bani that refute the worship of Devtas (demigods). There's an mp3 of this available (search for "Darshan Singh Ragi Dasam" on Google.

Shameless ragi is singing Dasam granth banis when acting in aPunjabi film Nimmo in 1984.

See link below

That time Dasam bani was inspirational for him. I have not seen such an akirtghan traitor like him in my life.

Everybody, I think it's important to not speak harshly with supporters of Ragi Darshan Singh.

For most Sikhs (maybe 90%), they just vaguely know him as a popular ragi/jathedar who also does katha. He has a nice speaking voice, and the combined effect is people believe whatever he says.

These are just everyday, normal Sikhs who haven't had the opportunity to read Dasam Bani, and whose first introduction to such was through the anti-Dasam Bani crew.

Naturally, these normal Sikhs have been mislead to believe Dasam Bani is something bad, and something that every good Sikh should oppose. They think they are protecting the good name of Dasmesh Ji by doing so. Just keep that in mind when you engage someone like that. You need to gently lead them to the reality of Guru Gobind Singh ji's bani.

The latest India Awareness (a pro-Kala Afghana magazine from Delhi) on the web has articles recounting the disillusionment of former Spokesman supporters who were shocked when the editor of the Spokesman disavowed 9 Gurus after Guru Nanak Dev ji (whom he never actually calls "Guru"), Guru Granth Sahib ji, khande-bate da amrit (or pahul, if you prefer). These were top supporters. If you have a friendly relationship or a kind way of speaking, you can easily turn such mislead Sikhs back to the mainstream of Sikhi.

Remember: Mithat nivi nanaka, gun changiaian tat.

O Nanak, sweetness and humility are the essence of a good character.

Singh ji

Indiaawareness is not a normal sikh. neither are missionary sikhs are normal sikhs. They are hard core atheists and duplicates who consider religion as a means of gaining popularity. They have no love for sikhism. Example is Gurnindak Jagtar jachak.

Inspite of knowing that Spokesman has misled them on dasam granth and real target of spokesman is SGGS ji to disintegrate sikhism these Gurnindaks are still using foul language for Dasam bani.

Inder Singh, the ego for these people get in the way. First they were anti-Dasam Granth and slandering Bani of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib ji, but when they find out they have been tricked they won't go back on their first words. Only the humble and wise realize what mistakes they have made and ask for forgiveness.

So instead of completely banning the humble ones, they should be given a pass. After all they did realize their mistake. And if they openly or any other way slander Dasam Granth, then they should be summon to the Punj Pyare for a punishment.

Forgive and the unity of the Panth is very important now.
