It has been gathered that Ragi Darshan Singh has been asked to appear at akal takhat on Dec 5

to clarify his position on blasphemic utterances against Guru gobind singh ji.Gurudwaras are instructed

not to allow him satge till that.

Our special thanks to Gurucharanjit Singh Lamba for highlighting Ragi's blasphemic speeches and JUS Punjabi

TV for giving platform to rein this drunken elephant. Many thanks to Gurusikhs who contributed.

Mubarak to gursikhs.

What a wonderfull gift for Christmas *g* and Khalsa Panth could start a new year without a controversy abt dasam granth hopefully :-D

Sarbat da pala ji, we are passing through an age of misinformation being propagated about our scriptures by anti sikh forces.Their aim is

to confuse and then destroy. Today it is Dasam granth. tomorrow it will be Guru Granth.

Already spokesman is challenging Guru Granth. Some of their gang members say that there was no amrit ceremony in 1699.

These are paid agents and not sikhs. Darsahn singh will be gone. They might have another one on the cards such Gurbachan singh thailand wale,

Harjinder singh Dilgeer. Gurbax singh Gulshan etc.

It is a long battle and we need to be very patient. In the end truth will truimph.

Yes you are right. But as long as we dun have a Takht which operates as a Takht and takes responseblity of the Panth so long we have to fight with those people. But we should think positive Maharaj kirpa karan and we can survive from the kalyug

Akal Takht summons its former Jathadar

Perhaps for the first time in Sikh history, a former Takht Jathedar has been directed to appear before the Akal Takht, the highest temporal seat of Sikhism.

Former Akal Takht Jathedar Darshan Singh Ragi has been directed by the Sikh clergy to appear before the Takht on December five to explain his conduct with regard to certain 'adverse' comments that he had made during a religious congegration at a gurdwara in Rochester in New York recently. The comments attributed to Darshan Singh Ragi were made about the tenth Guru, Gobind Singh.

The decision to summon Darshan Singh Ragi was taken at a meeting of the clergy held at the Akal Takht secretariat at the Golden Temple complex here today. The meeting was presided over by Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh.

I have a feeling this may end badly. Although Ragi Darshan Singh has been totally outlandlish in his quest, and in normal circumstances, deserves punishment. In the current circumstances, and the precarious state of Akal Takht and its Jathedars, I fear this may (at this time) lead a split of sorts in the Panth.

I hope for the best, though.

Let the split come forward. Gutless people do not take such decisions. had they guts and truth on their side they would have split many years ago.

Kala afghana was expelled . Joginder Spokesman was expelled. They did not split. Their main job is to cause damage from inside. Yesterday was

dasam granth. These days they are attacking SGGS ji. how long to tolerate. It was inactivity on the part of akal takhat having taken so much time

to rein in this drunken elephant.

Inaction on part akal takhat is also a sign of kalyug. All is not well with our institutions also. But in the end truth will prevail.

It may take time but khalsaof Guru gobind singh standing by his bani will prevail.

Amritsar, November 17

The five Sikh high priests have not only accorded tankha (religious punishment) to the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (HSGPC-Adhoc) chief Jagdish Singh Jhinda and four of his associates in the September 13 Kurukshetra gurdwara row, they have also directed a former Akal Takht Jathedar, Prof Darshan Singh, to appear before Akal Takht on December 5 and explain his alleged blasphemous remarks against Guru Gobind Singh.

At the same time, the five Sikh high priests led by the Akal Takht Jathedar, Giani Gurbachan Singh, have also directed Sikhs and Sikh organisations like Singh Sabhas, societies to not allow Prof Darshan Singh to speak from any stage till he offers a clarification and explanation in respect of his alleged remarks against Guru Gobind Singh.

The five Sikh high priests have also directed the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) chief Parmjit Singh Sarna to explain his alleged act of not allowing Delhi-based Sikh leader Kuldip Singh Bhogal to hold akhand paths to seek early justice for 1984 riot victims in New Delhi. Sarna has been given 10 days to offer his explanation.

On the other hand, taking a tough stance regarding the controversial remarks made allegedly by Prof Darshan Singh during one of his discourses at Rachester Gurdwara in New York recently, the SGPC chief Avtar Singh has asserted that since the former Akal Takht Jathedar has indulged in an act of “blasphemy” against the 10th Guru, he will not be allowed to speak publicly at any place. Giani Gurbachan Singh and other high priests, including Balwant Singh Nandgarh, Tarlochan Singh, Iqbal Singh, and Jaswinder Singh, had already found Jhinda and his associates, Kanwaljit Singh Ajrana, Avtar Singh Chakku, Hazoor Singh Nambardar and Joga Singh Yamunanagar, “guilty” of “misconduct” in the Kurukshetra gurdwara row during their October 14 meeting but they had reserved their judgement.

Pronouncing their judgement in the presence of Jhinda and his associates, the five Sikh high priests directed Jhinda and others to peform sewa for five days each at Akal Takht, Takht Keshgarh Sahib, Takht Damdama Sahib and at Gurdwara Chhevin Patshahi in Kurukshetra.

During their 20-day long tankah period, Jhinda and others will be listening to kirtan for one hour every day apart from undertaking an hour-long bartan sewa (cleaning of utensils). They would also be cleaning shoes of visiting devotees for one hour every day. On the concluding and 21st day of their tankah, Jhinda and others would be appearing before Akal Takht where they will have to make an ardas apart from offering ‘deg’ of Rs 1,100 to seek atonement for their religious “misconduct”. Each of the five Haryana Sikh leaders will also be offering ‘deg’ worth Rs 500 at all the three other religious places. Jhinda and others have said they would start the sewa from November 21. “We have all the respect for Akal Takht,” said Jhinda and others. Turning a bit defiant, Jhinda and his associates, who have been clarifying that they had done nothing wrong and had just taken over ‘sewa sambhal’ of the Kurukshetra gurdwara for a few hours on September 13, asserted that they would continue to do so in near future also. “The issue was blown out of proportion. Come what may, we will form the separate Sikh body for the Haryana gurdwaras. The Haryana Sikhs will also initiate an agitation if the Nanakshahi calendar was amended or revoked by the Sikh priests or by the SGPC. The Nanakshahi calendar is very important for maintaining a separate Sikh identity,” they asserted.
