I know it was a while back but i remember quite a few years ago there was a news report of how a sikh girl converted to islam (by black magic) and singhs ran in the house with axes to get her back...i remember seeing a video of it on the net not sure if it was the bbc website or youtube. If anyone can get hold of it let me no!

That was on the BBC News also about 2 years back. Try on BBC site. It happened in birmingham.

never heard of black magic being used i think thats just a rumor, but i remember that case she started hanging out with a muslim boy, she probably suffered low self esteem muslim boy gives her attention and makes her feel good and she falls in love and converts and runs away then the family came to get her back, the police took the girl in then she decided to go back to her family after all the commotion, but no one was ever arrested for forcing her to convert

their hasn't bin one case in police records of forced conversion, thats just an urban myth

theirs a bbc asian documantry by anita rani from aug 2007 on this issue, and when they investigated the police had said not one case of forced conversion

but in 99% of the cases a sikh girl converted it was the sikh girl falls in love with muslim boy, muslim boy says i can't marry you unless you are muslim, sikh girl says ok ill convert, most these girls don't have a strong connection with their family, considering most family's prefer sons over daughters you can see why so many girls suffer low self esteem and have no problem leaving theri family's for muslims

think about how easy this problem is to solve only if our community leaders and leaders in the gurdwara started preaching how important it is for the father and mother to build a close relationship with their daughter, educate them on sikh history an morals, and to develope confidence and high self esteem in their daughters, and have an open relationship with their daughters were they talk about anything an everything, an see how easily this problem will go away

for any of the guys in here and i bet their our a few guys including myself who chased after sikh girls in high school alot of girls have low self esteem, you just have to display confident to make up for her lack of confidence and make her feel special and bam the girl falls in love with the guy
