This may seem weird to ask, and it may seem totally fine with nothing wrong with it at all. Sometimes at Kirtan programs, I can't help but notice that someone may put down a $20 bill, bow to Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, and then pick up a $10 and a $5 bill (just an example). Let's forget the Manmath in watching how much someone donates, but I was just wondering, is this right? Is there anything wrong with only wanting to put $5 instead of the $20 bill in your hand? I just wanted to get some different perspectives of this matter.

Mehtab, i think navdeep veer ji is talking about money infront of the kirtaniyas. People do this all the time, they would put a large note and get some change. Sometime ppl just put money to get change. :wub:

another question:

should Gurdwaras have those things where we can use bank cards... B) ? I mean like i never have money in my pocket...but this really is a stupid question...sorry for going off-course. but it would be cool though....i don't know...the money from Golak is going to go to a Bank account anyway, why isn't it directed payed to the accont...and we don't need to see the maya and these types of things might not happen... :wub:

I have always hated this. When I was a kid my family members would ask me to go get change, I would say no. If they forced me, I would go matha tek it and they would get no money back!

Taking change is weird. get change from the bank before you go to gurudwara if you have to.

haha i hate when people do that haha my mom sometimes tells me to go get change i jus deny to take it or go and dont bring the money back its jus givin money to g uru ji jus give wut u got even if u got a 20 jus mathadek that its all good!

First time I waw that, I was about eight. A person had just put down some money and started to take money from the golak. I stared wide-eyed, but said nothing . Later on, as we were going home, I said to my family, "Hey, there was a person STEALING money from Guru Sahib!". I described the situation to my parents, and they told me about the "exchange program".

would you bring a big bag of atta for the langar and then once its all made into rotis, cart off the boxes of parshadas and leave 2 for the sangat?
