Keeping respect for Akal Takhts Jathedar aside....

The disregard that they are in the Hazoree of Sri Guru Sahib ji and dare to misbehave in such a way is just distasteful.

If someone does consider Sri Guru Granth Sahib is as 'Jagdhi Jyot' of Vaheguru, they would NEVER behave in such a way in the presence of Guru Ji.

Sadly majority, just consider GUru ji as just as a book, that's why they DARE to behave in such a way.

I have never seen kids fighting in darbar sahib and these people are adults!

They should die in shame!!!!!!!! <_< <_< <_<

This Gurudwara is Richmond Hill, New York City. Till about one month back its president was crony

of kala afghana/Drashan Ragi sect. They are the ones who wanted to call Ragi Darshan to this

Gurudwara after he was excommunicated and honour him. Sangat did not allow

this to happen.

There is a change of management about a month back.New management had called akal takhat jathedar

in regards to campaign by Sikhs for justice against Delhi massacre of 1984.Anti panthic elements wanted to

make it an occasion to mark their presence felt. That is why they created this scene.

This video tells half story to misrepresent the facts.I have a brief chat with a neutral person from there.

Ragi Darshan / Kala afghana elements wanted to disrupt the speech of Jathedar. They were requested

by management not to do this. They did not heed to it.

They had very small presence.Their leader was kicked by sangat and bundled out. Akal Takhat jathedar did address

Sangat though video does not show that.

Hang on guys. Another discussion is happening on another forum where Singhs are posting, and they were actually present at the scene.

http://gurmatbibek.c...orum/read.php?3,7373

Come what may,Well wishers of sikhism do never associate with anti panthic elements such as followers of kala afghana

and ragi darshan. The fact is Ragi darshan followers wanted to disrupt the proceedings as they had grudge

against jathedar for sending Ragi darshan out of panth. If you watch old youtube videos this Gurudwara was being used by kala afgahana/Ragi darshan Gang for anti panthic activities.

These are same elements who created a big scene and abused JUS Punjabi staff, name called Sardar Gurcharanjit Singh ji Lamba when he was interviewing Ragi darshan on TV. That time they had their man as president of this Gurudwara. Now circumstances

have changed. Mischief mongers got what was due earlier. They got excellent return from singhs of khalsa panth. They fled and will never dare to create a scene in presence of Guru Granth sahib.

Hanji true. What caught my attention was the following

our Singh's did not go to stop something or cause any ruckus. We were led to believe that a chance to speak with Iqbal Singh would be given, and Singh's went prepared only to discuss on the sad matter he (Iqbal Singh) has brought upon Panth. Richmond Hill (NY) Gurdwara Sahib politics between previous committee and current one came in between the event and ruined it for everyone, hence all the immature pushing and shoving shown in the video.

It was clash among committee members which caused the issue. AKJ Singhs of NY and NJ only went to speak to the Jathedar Jee about the recent new row that has erupted. The fight happened between former and present committee members, to the best of my knowledge.

The clash was not among committee members. Anti panthic committee has been changed. There is no dispute over this thing. Darshan ragi elements led by Rajinder who had honoured Ragi Darshan at a banquet hall wanted to disrupt Jathedar akal takhat as they had grudge against him for Ragi darshan blasphemy. He was the leader of this gang. This was the main issue and not anything else. They had indulged in enough of manmat earlier.Such actions do not last long and they had to pay for what was overdue earlier.

People should not associate with such anti sikh elements. Why should someone who has love for panth even think to be a part of this anti panthic brigade of kala afghana and Ragi darshan followers? Everyone knows what they stand for.Enemy's enemy does not become your automatic friend.

the anti Sri Dasam Granth Sahib ji brigade is here. Most likely it is them who started this whole thing. If you look carefully at the video, you can see the side that wanted this to happen are wearing a dark blue dastars, well majority of them are. Then that one guy who is holding a camera wearing a white bana and blue dastar is filming everything, as if he knew before hand this was going to happen.

They who joined hands with the Kala-Afghanis in this protest are part of the same jundli that has supported and promoted Ragi Darshan in the past. They have branches in the East Coast and Southern California and continually misuse the Jatha's name.

One of them runs the KhalsaSpirit.com website that promotes Anti-Sri Akal Takht Sahib and Ant-Sri Dasam Granth thought.

See: http://www.khalsaspi...ikhAffairs.html and http://www.khalsaspi...IsnotObeyed.pdf

These guys are a disgrace.

That's just sad, all sects and views aside, just look down and shun such behavior entirely. In front of Guru Granth Sahib Ji and the highest head of the Sikhs...

This is just sad, these people should ask for forgiveness or direct their energy into a much more positive field like helping others.

People (sometimes both sides) get so caught up in politics they forget what Sikhi teaches and what kind of lifestyle we're supposed to live. A Khalsa is he or she who fights against kam krodh lobh moh ankaar and does kirat karna, vand chakna, and nam japna.

:( Why do we have to fight so much, this will be an endless cycle of confusion, hate, and disorder won't end unless people (from any side) don't live by "tera kiya meeta laage"...

    • So, are you saying Guru ji isn't God? Or are you saying the British encouraged this belief?
    • Part of the problem is the hostilities between India and Pakistan. If the border were open, Amritsar would easily become a huge trading city. Secondly, the National Highways Authority of India is constructing a new 6-lane expressway from Kashmir, through Amritsar/Jalandhar/Ludhiana to Dehli which will be part of the Ludhiana-Delhi-Kolkatta Industrial Corridor.  Maps of the New Silk Road show Kolkata as a key part of the "road". The Punjab to Kolkata expressway and rail connections will fulfill the ability to hook up to the New Silk Road.  In addition, while crossing to Pakistan via AH1 (Asian Highway 1) is difficult, India does connect to AH1 on the other side, towards the East. Finally, Punjab can trade with the world via Mundra port in Gujurat. Rail to Mundra, then sea onwards. Dubai is very close with a free port. If you send products to Iran, there are ground links onward to Europe.
    • Yeah, that's one possibility. Another I initially thought is that it's a Muslim trying to gather info. But then, you might ask, how does he know about Sikh textual sources. Well, you'd be surprised at their resourcefulness. A final possibility is he's a weak Sikh who was asked a question by a non-Sikh and now he's suddenly feverishly wondering where it's "written" that you can't marry a young child. To the latter, I would say, you're looking in the wrong spot. Gurbani isn't a 1428 page rulebook, like Leviticus or the Vedas: ਸਿਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਪੁੰਨ ਪਾਪ ਬੀਚਾਰਦੇ ਤਤੈ ਸਾਰ ਨ ਜਾਣੀ ॥ ਤਤੈ ਸਾਰ ਨ ਜਾਣੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਬਾਝਹੁ ਤਤੈ ਸਾਰ ਨ ਜਾਣੀ ॥ The Simritis and Shastras discriminate between charity and sin, but know not the essence of the Real Thing. Without the Guru, they know not the essence of the Reality, know not the essence of the Reality. Anand Sahib.
    • You're confusing two different things: One is merely adding starch to a turban to get a certain feel to the fabric. The other is tying your turban once and taking it off like a hat. It is this that people have a problem with. What's wrong with it is that Rehit says to tie your turban afresh every time. If you ask, "Where is that written?", it's written in Bhai Nand Lal ji's Rehitnama. @ipledgeblue didn't just make it up. Umm, no, bro. We're not evangelical Christians like President George W Bush of the US claiming to "talk to God" who told him to invade Iraq. "Speaking to him directly" basically ends up being doing whatever you feel like with the excuse that Guru ji told you to do it. If you still want to take your turban off like a hat, feel free to do so, but don't claim that it's Rehit.
    • You don't need to wear either a pag or dumalla in the gym. You can simply wear a meter or 1.5m small turban (gol pagg or round turban). It doesn't come off.
