Why is Guru Sahib shown as if he is angry? There is a picture of a person standing by a picture of Guru Sahib in a Gurdwara. Why is he shown this way?

I'm wondering why he is shown wearing a relatively modern day khanda symbol on his dastaar? The artist definitely hasn't gone for historical accuracy but then this is pretty much impossible anyway I guess?

Artistic license I suppose? So when did the Khanda come into being as a symbol for the Sikhs? Are you saying it wasn't at the time of Guru Ji? Educate me, please! :lol:

Khanda came into being in late 19th century. British made it more popular by using it in their Sikh regiments.

You can see paintings from 1770s depicting another Nishan Sahib. The same Nishan Sahib is shown in a Gurdwara from Tarn Taran Sahib in 1920s.

I would say the modern symbol came to prominence in the early twentieth century myself. Never seen any evidence of it before then.

It looks like a 10 year old has painted it, it looks cartoonish, it no-way shows bir rass.

Rather it looks like someone in a weird pose pulling a strange face. This is not bir ras

this is a cartoon version of anger.

Even in bir-ras Guru Jiwas a picture or serenity.
